Stayed here because we booked an overnight train, hotel and tour package from Bangkok. Very clean and spacious. Our breakfast was buffet style and included rice, eggs, sausage/ham, cereal, tea/coffee, toast.

Overall great location and price as it was less than some of the other guesthouses we checked out in the area and most tuk tuk drivers knew where it was just by name. Close to the night food market for a night snack. Staff was helpful about getting around and places to stay.

The only complaint was our room smelled like food at night because there was an open window/vent in the bathroom.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and I don't have one bad thing to say. The rooms are spacious and clean, comfy beds, hot water (just takes a minute to come through), air con, fast wifi with perfect connection, heaps of English tv channels, rooms cleaned daily (if u like), delicious food markets on your front doorstep, as well as a great coffee cart through the week, convenience store next door, 2 minute walk from the gate entry to the old city, staff friendly and speak English... What more could you want! Can't understand the bad reviews here, yes it's a 5 minute tuk tuk from the night bazaar but there is much better things closer and you'd only want to go there once anyway, we didn't try the breakfast but we did look, bacon eggs toast fruit as well as Asian foods.. What more do you want! And all for a great price, don't look anywhere else!!

We stayed at this hotel on our recent trip to Chiang mai. we stayed for 3nights and booked via an agent. For the price we paid it was good value. Our room was clean and spacious. We requested a queen bed however were given two separate beds however we cared less and moved the beds to combine them. So this proves that room are spacious. Breakfast is very likable. They only provide white bread and fake jams. But for that price we ate our brekky outside. Staff was OK. They were confused and thought that we are staying only 2 nights. So when we came back thius guy was already in our room, with our room open. We did not like it. We would have preferred him to wait for us to come back. However he did call back and apologized. However getting into guests room is not a good idea. The bathrooms are a bit small. WiFi was very good and fast in our room.it was better then our bangkok hotel. We walked to the markets and other places. It is next to few good eating places and few stores.

If you're in Chaing Mai for the food, this is your spot - Around the corner from the world-famous Chaing Mai Night Food Market. They've got hot water, A/C and clean sheets. If you're traveling into town, take a red taxi bus. Closest exchange is 5 mins away, by cab, and closes at 10pm.

We enjoyed our stay at Buaraya Hotel. Parking space is ample. The location is great and convenient to walk around the downtown Chiang Mai. There are plenty of restaurants and food stall in front of hotel, including several convenient stores. This is not the hotel you will spend all day chilling out. It's just a cheap and clean hotel so you can conveniently explore the city center.

Breakfast is quite poor and nothing to talk about but you can find many alternatives in front of hotel.
