Hotel is a large business-y type hotel in the centre of Chiang Mai and we thought it was great. We were given a free upgrade to a room on the higher floors and the central business area on the floor was constantly manned with impeccable staff - they were exceptionally friendly and helpful whenever we asked anything. The room was a decent size, overlooking the city and all amenities were pleasant and working well. The lobby areas of the hotel were large and clean, the pool areas were fantastic! Lovely spa on site. Breakfast buffet had a huge range of food - we ate far too much ;-) The location of the hotel is very central - few minutes walk to the main market area. All staff were very friendly and helpful. It was great value for money.

We would easily recommend this hotel for your trip to Chiang Mai!

This hotel is in most probably the best location in Chiang Mai. Right in the centre of it all and also right near a huge night market. The staff are also great and extremely helpful. I would also recommend the bar area outide, it looks fab at night and well worth a meal out there. Great food to top it all off. I would stay here again for sure.

Our local Thai friend booked us into the Imperial Mae Ping Hotel for a night when we visited Chiang Mai. We found this 21 year old hotel to be well-maintained. We did not have any complaints as the room was comfortable, although a bit small. The bathroom was clean and had great hot water with strong pressure. The receptionists were helpful and friendly and gave us a 4pm late checkout at no extra charge. An extensive selection of breakfast (one of the largest we've seen in Bangkok) was inclusive of the 1,200 Baht room rate, which we thought was very reasonable. The only negative was that there was no free internet and we had to pay for wifi connection at the lobby. Also the hotel would require Tuk2 to take you to the night bazaar. However, we thought that the Weekend Market, which was huge, was far more exciting than the so-called famous Chiang Mai's "night bazaar".

Stayed at the Imperial Mae Ping 4 times between 2004 and 2006. The hotel has very friendly feel and efficient service. Rooms and baths clean, beds well kept and comfortable. Staff always ready to assist and make you feel welcomed. Concierge particularly helpful on advising on many entertainment and shopping options, and assisted me on booking golf numerous times. Also, the price per night is a super bargain! Outdoor pool is a lovely setting, private yet enough activity to make you feel you're in the right place. Convenient massage and spa treatment immediately next to the pool. Location is unbeatable with lively (an understatement...) entertainment center next door, and world-class shopping/restaurants within a short walk. Other Chiang Mai activities very near by, and reachable within a short drive. Highly recommend a stay here!

Stayed here for 9 days during a recent 3 week holiday in Thailand. We could not fault this Hotel. Upgraded on arrival to Deluxe room. Asked for Non smoking. They put us on on the Non smoking floor but the room stank of smoke.
Not the Hotels fault but they upgraded us to a Junior suite. 2 rooms, 2 toilets, big comfortable bed, mountain views. Made the holiday.
It's very close to the night market and walking distance to the old City and Chinatown.
Staff are attentive and friendly and the breakfasts are a treat.
We used the Tourist agent and laundry across the road and would recommend both

We spent our 30th wedding anniversary in Thailand, and spent 4 wonderful days at Mae Ping. All staff were polite, friendly, and we had the trip of a lifetime, starting here. Food was excellent, breakfasts delicious and varied, and location was good for most things. We had Tour East organised tours, and were very happy with Van and Poo, terrific guides.....We used the laundries across the road, and one of the massage shops, which were great, and plenty of restaurants at the night market area....The elephant camp was brilliant, and only feel sad that we did not tip the elephant mahout enough for our ride, as that was truly a great experience. I expect to return to this wonderful hotel, and can't say enough about it....

This hotel although looking a little tired was pleasant anf comfortable. It was close to the famous Night Bazaar. The staff very helpful and the Tuk Tuk drivers are not as inposing as expected. overall a good stay and worth staying at. The only fault they I could find was because the of the off season the ber garden with the big TV was not open. Can't have everything.
