Reviewed October 3, 2012

Just finish my 5 days holiday there and found that it is a little bit old hotel but might have some renovation, most the best is the bed and pillow are confortable and have NO smell on it. The only thing I think they can improve is the bathroom , better change those tool in it to morden one.I like the people very much , they are cheerful and helpful.

we stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks and found the breakfast buffet to die for, the only time we had to wait for a table was on our last day. the room we had on the 10th floor was great. no problems.
the staff were friendly and would do any thing for you. The pool area was well maintained. close to night markets and other great restaurants. I have told my friends and family what a great holiday we had and are planning our next trip.

My daughter and I stayed at the Mae Ping in August and it actually was our fourth stay over about 15 years and once again we had a very enjoyable stay. Our room was on the eleventh floor and we had plenty of space. The pool area is so nice and we relaxed there each day and enjoyed our club sandwich and yummy banana split. The wifi was excellent and we were able to Skype my husband from the pool area. The breakfast offered a large selection of good food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be returning.

Room Tip: The fish spa at the hotel is great and very cheap. Also the laundry across the road called Mr K is v...

We stayed at the hotel on Sep. 2012 – basic room.

Pros:
1. Clean room
2. Comfy king size bed
3. Good location – close to the night bazaar (2 min walk), but in a quiet place

Cons:
1. Old and bathroom not well maintained
2. Bad wifi reception (although free of charge) – good for emails, nothing more

Conclusion:
The hotel is very basic. For your money you'll get a good sleep and a fresh breakfast (basic with a lot of Thai dishes).

Extras:
1. The hotel owns a very nice and surprisingly cheap fish spa – enjoyed it twice.
2. There are hourly shuttles to the "Airport plaza" shopping mall from the hotel – worth a visit

We stayed at Imperial Mai ping In august and found it to be so central to everything. Very close to the night Bazzar and main shopping. Breakfast was good and always fresh. The staff are very freindly and speak great English. We were on the 10th floor the rooms were great and we had plenty of space. The king size bed was great and private balcony was wonderful. There is a huge swimming pool that we had to ourselves most of the time. Even tho the rainy season we had plenty of sunshine and hot days to swim.

Our first trip to Chaing Mai, and it was an amazing experience. We stayed at the Imperial Mae Ping Hotel, and it was everything we needed as far as great location, good service, excelent food and good rooms, the internet cafe doownstairs is free. We were a five minute walk to the night bazaar and surounding restaurants, we were able to walk to the old city and if you wanted to ride there are great little three wheeler bikes like Tuk Tuks for only 50 bhat.So much to do there we didn't have enough time so we are going back again next May.

Room Tip: Rooms on the higher floors are smoke free
