We were out to dine and wine, so Le Beaulieu was out obvious choice, the restaurant is so beautiful. I love coming here, food and decoration all enhances the dining experince.

The group was mixed tow western tow thai of one who never had had French food before, so food had to be good to please. It were absolutely stunning!

Our three causes were all cook to prefection, it is one of two times I found no flaws in a meal in my 30 years in Asia, dining in a western restaurant.

One star should be welcome if Michelin came by to try it.

Superb, superb absolutely great food, no to mention that they had dessert wine on the wine list which no common in Chiang Mai, we enjoyed a beatiful bottle of Chili´s Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc.

Sublime, superb choice a superlative

This is an eatery of the finest, what is surprising is the price for both food and wines are reasonable.

The food presentation is refined, the flavors are balanced, the Fois Grass are perfectly cooked.

The soups are top of the line.

Main courses are all superb

And the deserts are classic.

I find it wonderful that one French Restaurant actually servers food of such quality, what is the only surprise it there are so few guest, when food reaches star quality.

“The Best French Restaurant in Chiang Mai!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 12, 2012

This is my fourth time at Le Beaulieu Chiang Mai. Excellent food with a good selection to choose from. All vegetables are grown by the restaurant themselves, up in their mountain resort (Hill Lodge) which also have the same restaurant as well.

The Le Beaulieu Chiang Mai is the sister restaurant of Le Beaulieu Bangkok offering the same delicious selected dishes. Cocktails were even better as I found out that the man behind the counter used to be the bartender at the Bamboo Bar (Mandarin Oriental Bangkok) for over 30 years.

Decor was a bit non nondescript and the location is strangely situated in a housing complex. The food all tasted superb and very beautifully presented. Wine list was a bit limited but the restaurant does not have a corkage charge so you can bring your own. For dinner apart from the a la carte menus the restaurant offer 2 different set menus with the most extensive menu only costing 1,200 Baht. All the dishes were large and plentiful and they all tasted great.

I've eaten at the top French restaurant in Chaing Mai - Faran Ses (Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi) and La Coq d'Or, and in my opinion Le Beaulieu offer the best food for the money.

Looking forward to going back!
