We stayed in a Family Suite at the Singha Montra for a week in early November and were generally impressed with the hotel. We really loved the decor throughout the hotel, and the outside area and pool were beautiful too. Our suite was enormous and there were nice touches from room service each day including fresh flowers on our beds and in the bathroom, my only gripe would be that I could have done with some more hangers or drawers for clothes. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, particularly Guy, the concierge who was a great help in helping us organise trips, from a tour of Doi Inthanon to a morning's fishing. The hotel is slightly outside the centre of Chiang Mai, but tuk tuks are readily available and only about 200 baht each way so we didn't find this to be an issue at all. Breakfast was fairly simple but plentiful and the coffee was great, on a day when we were leaving for a trip before breakfast was served the hotel staff kindly organised us a yummy boxed breakfast to eat on the way. The one thing that let the hotel down slightly was the food - we travelled with young kids and so it was convenient on a couple of occasions to eat dinner in the hotel restaurant and whilst the food was okay it wasn't on a par with the "look" and service of the rest of Singha Montra, this wouldn't discourage me from a repeat stay at the hotel however as there are plenty of fab restaurants nearby.
