My partner and I enjoyed a romantic dinner last night at Boutique Della Pasta which we had found via Trip Advisor. It turned out to be a great pick and I would certainly return, especially for the pizza.
The menu offered a huge variety of dry and fresh homemade pastas, as well as a large selection of pizzas. Various cold platters, salads, and meats were also available. We shared one pizza and one pasta dish which the Italian reataurant owner kindly recommended we try given our indecision over so many tempting pastas to choose from. The fresh homemade pasta with puttanesca sauce came out first- the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. The spicy salami pizza quickly followed which both looked and tasted delicious. The base was nicely thin and crispy, the toppings not too sparse, and the salami was very good. The meal was very tasty and the cost also reasonable- each dish approximately 200B for pasta and 180B for pizza (one size only).
The waiters were friendly and attentive, and the restaurant owner was also on site to greet us and take our order. Service was excellent.
The restaurant was a beautiful converted teak house with an open shop front and cosy indoor seating which flowed into a pretty garden for outdoor dining. The candle light and soft background music during the quiet night completed the romantic ambience.
