We were greeted warmly and graciously by Dash himself and seated in the coolest spot in this very open restaurant (they have bug repellant together with the napkins and the toothpicks--a nice touch). By now I just don't know what to order, just what not to order. I've had Pad Thai enough an all the standard Thai dishes. I asked Dash to choose for me and he did--very successfully. I had the Banana Blossom Salad (95Bat) and my partner ordered the shrimp in garlic and tamarind sauce. Both were delicious. I was brought the stir fry with eggplant and beef for my main while partner ordered the fried rice with tofu, pineapple and cashew. Both dishes went very well together and both were very tasty. My only criticism is that the beef could have been a little more tender but I've noticed, that in general in Thailand, the beef is a little tough (and the beds are hard). Can't fault the seasonings.
We also enjoyed a Mai Tai and Dash's own concoction called a Green Meanie, a sour apple flavoured cocktail. They were both good, not skimpy on the liquor.
The meal, including a bottle of water came to 730 Bat, of which 300 Bat was the price of cocktails.
Dash and his charming mother are doing a super job. Keep it up.
