Nice little vegetarian restaurant in Chiang Mai. I came here for breakfast the other day, really liked the menu and look of the place. Food was fairly good, maybe abit too pricey. Service was below slow though,I know we are in Thailand but 30 mins for an omelette... Other than that really very nice cafe that would be better with one more member of staff :)

“Fantastic”

Beetroot Stories
What a wonderful little restaurant, with the most amazing fresh organic food. A friend took me here last year a few weeks after it had opened. The owner Nee, and her friend who had come up from Bangkok to help her open the restaurant were so inspiring and really wonderful, we came here most days as the food & service were second to none. This year on my return the standard and quality remain the same and the service as always perfect. There are only 5 small tables inside and 2 outside, everything is made freshly to order, which takes a little time, like all good food! its really worth the wait, and what's the hurry when you are in such a lovely little place.

“happy to support their yummy-ness”
Reviewed January 6, 2012

what a great little place. the food is really delicious, and different from the usual veggie places in chiang mai. it's pretty chilled out, you're not going to feel like you're part of a well-oiled machine, but that's part of the charm.

the signature beetroot dishes are all yummy, but the hidden treasure is what they do with mushrooms. put them in salads, stir fry, sandwiches...great.

worth several visits.

“Great beet salad....slow/huffy service”
Reviewed December 17, 2011

Sweet location with a conscious menu. Beet salad was fantastic. Service was inattentive and slow, but hey, it's Thailand. When the owner wanted to charge for the sugar-filled smoothie that we didn't drink (after learning it had sugar added) she pulled an attitude....and not one of gratitude. It was a disappointment that "Beetroot" doesn't seem to carry the "storyline". If you're creating an organic, sustainable, local, mindful establishment......carry it all the way through.

“Our favorite vegetarian restaurant in Chiang Mai”
Reviewed December 14, 2011

The dishes at Beetroot Stories are simply delicious, and we keep going back for more. 50 Baht for a smoothie might seem a lot, but definitely worth it! No matter when you go - breakfast, lunch or dinner, you won't regret it.
