Ibis hotel was the best value hotel we have been in Thailand.

It is clean and comfortable.
The location close to Doi Suthep.
The pools are small though but we did not use them.
The wifi is working great.

It's a new hotel, and a cool design. It's not like anything you've ever been too... but it does remind me of a hostel, maybe it's the plastic chairs, or the groovy wall paper, but I've stayed in hostels just like this hotel for half the price.

Don't get me wrong, it's alright, it was a comfortable night sleep, nice bathroom, nice bed, tv etc..but I would not have wanted to stay there long, it was nice for one night, it did the job, it was clean, tidy and the food was alright. Butttt I just think it's like a hostel, cheap..ish and cheerful.

My only main winge was there was no shampoo and conditioner, in a hot country, you need to shower like 2-3 times a day, so why no shampoo when your staying over night? I had to walk to 711 down the road to buy some, that was pretty poor to be fair...

I would recommend staying here for a night or two if you wanna visit the zoo (don't walk in the heat if the staff tell you too like us - its exhausting!!!!) or Doi Suthep, or the night market, but it is right out of town. We stayed there to visit the elephant nature park, and it wasn't too far.

The hotel does give you free wifi which is really good, and the food was nice in the restaurant and well priced, there's also brollies when it rains, air con, and a fridge in the room. There's drinks in the waiting area and computers you can use.

The staff were very friendly as well, it's a high average to good hotel.

This hotel is an ongoing project. It has an old block with the biggest rooms however the room condition is somewhat poor with peeled laminate flooring (1514) and plumbling that is not robust enough after long use.

The upside is the building next to it where breakfast is also served. The rooms are new and stylish and as advertised in the website ...however the downside is for the same room and same price category, it's a much smaller room as advised by the staff.

The breakfast is a decent spread for the price paid and consisted of an egg station, thai hot food selections and a decent spread of the food for the fruits, condiments and milk / coffee selection

The location of the hotel is in a good spot...you are mins tuk tuk ride to the new Maya Mall or the old Kad Suan Kwey Mall. within walking distance is a 7-11, for those who have not been to Thailand as yet, the 7-11 is a life saver and you can find most stuff in there at travel size and a good price.

The nearby university also provide lots of cheap food options around the corner for

Room Tip: Choose the new building when booking if you want the rooms that are advetised on the website in term...

My wife liked the property a lot... the room allocated was modern and European style but was hardly representative I suspect of the overall hotel and we had on-going problems with the electrics (for example the air con and lights kept cutting out although this may just have been a key-card socket issue). Its an existing property that seems to have been bought out )title suggests All Seasons?) and some ambitious expansion is taking place... but until its finished you have to walk on (not alongside) a busy road to get out of the property. Close to the airport but in that respect then some distance from the town and we never saw a single taxi/songtaew go by. We arrived late and changed hotels the next morning so not a real issue for us but if you are new into CM then I suggest not the best of choices, unless perhaps you have a car. Interesting - and commendable - that the manager there seems to respond to EVERY TripAdvisor report and that I guess is commendable. It will be quite a size when finished but its clearly a design that makes compromises and suggest that things like a tiny and limited breakfast area will need fixing,

Room Tip: Road noise will be a constant problem here and its on an intersection of two (for CM) major roads bu...

Dear Colin D,

Thank you for choosing to us for your trip to Chiang Mai.

I am glad to hear that your wife really enjoy our hotel design. At the same time so sorry to hear that our expansion building was blocking your walk way to the main intersection. We are just a few months away for this project completion. We apologize for any inconvenience that may cause you during your stay.

Our hotel may located a bit away from night bazar area, but we offer complementary shuttle service to our guest to night bazar area during weekday and to walking street during weekend. In additional to that we have contact Central festival Chiang mai to provide free shuttle to the shopping mall on daily basis. Most of our guest found this service very convenience for them.

Howevr, we are located just about 15 minutes away from airport and there are many famous shopping area around our hotel such as Nimmanhemin area, Maya shopping mall and Doi Suthep. Especially Nimmanhemin area and Maya shopping mall is very closed to our hotel (walking distance).

Finally, I apologize about our breakfast area was not quite met your expectation. I will find a way to add more variety into our breakfast line. But thank you so much for your comment, we have something to reflect on our hotel operations and we will find a way to improve them to better serve you for your next visit.

Should you plan your trip to Chiang Mai again, please do contact us. We look forward to welcome you back for another memorable time.

Everything in this hotel is NEW! The room decoration is very special and it has different theme in each room. Just that the room's light a little dark. Need to take red taxi to the town about 10 to 15 minutes. 7-11 is just behind the hotel about 3 minutes walking distance. There are two bars near to the hotel. Staffs are friendly, helpful and informative. Comfortable rooms for few nights stay.
