Stayed for 4 nights, nice rooms & good location in old town. All bar one staff member very friendly & helpful. Nice set breakfast included. Easy walk to variety ofrestaurants, bars, and Sat market. Sun market Walkable too. Didn't try the pool but was nice & clean.

A real pity! This place has the makings of something special - beautiful architecture, exceedingly well maintained, well located for tourist services and affordable. The big BUT however, is the service. The front of house service is not simply disinterested but rude. I get the feeling that the staff generally suffer poor management (the manager treats his staff appallingly - often with sarcasm) which drags down the morale of other staff, then in turn affecting service. A lovely stay if you don't care about a pleasant social atmosphere.

The perfect spot, based on location and price. Nice small hotel with swimming pool. Clean rooms, very romantic and tiny bedroom/bathroom. Breakfast is good and city ca nbe reached easily by foot. We wished to stay longer...

Room Tip: Ask for a room on top floor as noise of traffic can be heard. But ,sleeping is no problem!

This is a great little hotel in the old city. Walking distance to Wat Chedi Luang, markets, restaurants, shops, everything in old city. Rooms small but clean, wifi works great, and something you won't find elsewhere in Chiang Mai for this price- a pool! Free breakfast includes fresh juice and made to order eggs. Staff very helpful and well English speaking. They have a little shower/changing area off of the lobby so if you have a tour on your checkout day you can freshen up before heading to the airport. Safe in rooms too small for laptop or iPad but no issues. Mini fridge in room with reasonably priced items and free water. Not the height of luxury but very good value for the approx. $30/night.

This hotel is located in the old city and is close to restaurants and attractions. Rooms are good however it's loud and you could hear the noise from people having fun at the pool until around 11:30-12:00 pm. Breakfast is average but does the job. We stayed at Lai for 1 night, but Chiangmai boutique is much better.

Don't expect any, there's none.
We were practically handed the keys and that's it. Not even a direction to our room. However, wifi is very good, even works accros the road to a good restaurant called Spoon The Best.
Breakfast good and well presented. Loved the mango smoothie but almost the same everyday.
Shower good too.
Sink pretty but not practical. Water drips out and no soap dish.
No towel hooks
Deluxe room very small for two people. No room for suitcases.
Warning to all frail or travellers with heavy suitcases. This hotel doesn't have a lift!
Nicely decorated hotel and extremely great location tho as its close to everything.
Expect traffic noise from the road.
Tho their customer care is almost nil, the free use of pool, convenient shower and toilet and Internet facilities make up for it as we checked out early to do the elephant tour but still managed to freshen up comfortably before departing for the airport in the evening because of the free use of facilities after checking out. Even free to use soap, shampoo and a towel. This was a big plus as we were soaking wet from the water festival (everyone pours water on you during this festival wherever you are).

We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights on a trip to Chiang Mai. The hotel was simply wonderful. The room was of a good size, exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated. The pool was perfect for a morning swim or after a long day exploring the city. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was set and so did get a little samey after 8 days but it was always fresh and tasty. Overall, a superb hotel and would definitely visit again in the future. Top marks!
