Owner description: Set in stunning scenery, the bike trails in the mountains around Chiang Mai are single track heaven and X-Biking Chiang Mai knows them better than anyone. We'll have you grinning ear to ear as we drive you up to the very top of Doi Pui (1650 m) and bike with you all the way down to the bottom via natural trails with plenty of rocks, roots, ruts in between stretches of smooth and fast single track. Trails are carefully selected by our experienced guides to match riders' skill levels.

“A proper downhill experience with high quality bikes & equipment!”
Reviewed June 2, 2014 via mobile

We booked a days riding with X-Biking and was blown away by how helpful & patient our guide Aei was.
My wife Natalie was, let's say, a bit of a beginner to downhill and our guide Aei was very patient and helped every step of the way.
The trails were natural & stunning. We did the blue rated trails which had everything we need for what has to be my best days riding ever. Fast flowing singletrack, tight technical sections with roots, ruts & rock gardens. Twisting & turning fast lines. Even with a few jumps & drops thrown in for good measure!
If you're after a proper downhill experience with quality bikes & equipment book X-Biking. We both cannot recommend highly enough.

“Don't miss this !!!”

These guys are the real deal. They are not some tour operator with a few bikes that takes you to the hills to look at the pretty view, although you do this anyway. King and his team are real dh bikers they've been doin it for years. So they know all the tracks in the area from beginner to expert. They will guide you through the trails that you are most comfortable to ride on wether it be beginner or advanced double diamond tracks they can cater for all. The trails are all nature trails since they are all in national forest so nothing is man made so the conditions of the track change after a heavy down pour of rain. Trails are through some dense jungle, bamboo forest, rock gardens, and some fire roads. I did a full day with them and then hung around ChiangMai for a bit and did another full day. I now wish I had done more. If your going to do this do a full day. If you have never dh before you need to allow time to get to the top of the mountain so half day would only get you 1 good run. Book the full day you won't regret it and by the end of the day you will be happy you did. Also if you haven't got your own bike give them a call in advance and they will organize a bike for you plus they have all the protective gear for hire as well. Oh and the bikes are proper dh bikes....all running Fox 40s. I rode a giant glory one day and a pivot phoenix the next I think there's a Scott gambler available as well.
A big thanks to King, Harry, Ai and Kwang for doing what you do best....Ride dh!!!

King & his crew 10/10

“Holy S*** this was awesome!”
Reviewed May 4, 2014

After not riding downhill for years, X-Bike picked me up all geared up and ready. NO waiting around. It was a ride till you can't ride any more trip. Big hills or small, they catered to what "I" wanted which for me was big drops and jumps. We also did the slow leisure run which stopped in small villages and mountainous coffee plantations. Just a truly unforgettable experience.

“DH at it's best”
Reviewed April 28, 2014 via mobile

I had a great day with King and the X biking crew April 24th 2014. Chiang Mai has some of the gnarliest DH trails around with everything from steep rock gardens, long fast wooded sections to tight and twisty singletrack, and these guys know them all. The hire bike was great (A very capable Giant Glory) and the X biking crew are able to cater to all levels and are easy to hang with, speak good English (if that is important). Great day and can't wait to ride again.
