Anan and Toom Tam provided us with an awesome experience and allowed us into the inner sanctum of Thai hill tribes that we alone would never have been able to achieve. Local knowledge of hilltribe culture, significant Thai structures and local 'stories' were significant highlights. Doing this trip by ourselves would have required weeks and we still wouldn't have experienced all we did in just 4 days. Thank you guys!,
Regards

My wife and I had a fantastic time and learned a great deal about the different hill tribes on this tour. Our Karen (tribe) guide, Sak, was very knowledgeable about the various tribes and told us some great stores that had been handed down through generations. We recommend adding the cultural center stop for 500 Baht as you get to see 6 or 7 different tribes, dressed in their traditional ways. You also get to see how they make their crafts & clothes and we got to shoot a hand carved crossbow. We got very lucky with our visit to one of the actual villages as it was rice harvest time and we were invited to help the tribe thrash rice from the stalks in the traditional way. This was truly a highlight of our trip to Thailand!

I can't say enough about our experience with Thailand Hilltribe Holidays Private Tours. The staff and drivers (Pat, Puack, Vin, and X) were amazing! Pat was very helpful and a self proclaimed happy person. Vin spoke very good English and was extremely helpful as well. Puack and X didn't speak English but were kind and thoughtful. They carried all of our luggage, offered stories of Old Thailand, answered our unending questions, and catered to our every whim. My brother even lost his passport after the tour was over and Pat went out of his way to meet my brother back at the airport. He then brought him to the police station and consulate. During this time, someone turned in his passport to the tourism bureau and a message was posted on facebook. Pat's wife, Melissa, saw the post and inquired only to find out this passport was, in fact, my brothers. Pat purchased gifts for each of us in my party which was myself, my father, my sister and brother. The homestays were unforgetable. Be prepared to rough it... and make sure you go to the early morning market. Stop to see the elephants, you won't rergret this as it was the highlight of my trip. There are six free roaming elephants owned by a village. They are well cared for and loved. We played with a one month old elephant.. I'll never forgete this experiencec. I'm sure I've forgotten some of the many compliments I have for this tour and staff and won't even be able to do it justice!

Very interesting tour, saw real people, in real villages, away from all kind of tourists....Even got the chance of rice harvesting with local tribe!

The optional Baan Tong Luan village is a bit more tourists oriented but is still very interesting..

loved this tour
