So much to see and enjoy re elephants. We saw the vet giving exams to a few of the elephants. We got so squirt the babies in the nursery with cooling water from hoses, then spent the day with one elephant. We walked with her, fed her, groomed her and even bathed her. Our guide (Taz) was awesome and spoke English easily and clearly. He just let us know that the elephant that we hung out with last March (and it’s now 8 months after our visit) just had her baby (he told us she was pregnant while we were on his tour). We were glad to see that the elephants are so well-cared for in this sanctuary.

Baan Chang Elephant Park was an incredible experience for my wife and me. We spent a wonderful day learning how to feed, wash and ride with elephants. This was truly one of the highlights of our entire trip.

Myself and my girlfriend really enjoyed our day here, we were a little apprehensive due to the previous photos showing riding, but were comforted by the no riding policy on their website that has been introduced and after looking at the reviews, decided to give it a go. We’re really glad we did.

The day included pick up from hotel, meeting and feeding the baby’s elephant and their mothers, meeting other elephants in the park, walking with them through the fields and bathing them in the nearby water pools. We also learnt how to create the elephants food and had lunch provided for ourselves which again was much better than expected.

What’s great about the day is that there isn’t any rushing through the activities or schedule, they allow plenty of time for you to feed and spend time with the elephants in the park which was lovely and they keep the group sizes small for a more personal experience which again was great, you practically had an elephant to yourself.

The elephants seem really well kept and there were no signs of riding activity when we were there. All the staff and keepers were really friendly, especially the tour guide who was really informative and knowledgeable.

The only bit of feedback I would give would be the opportunity to spend more time with the baby elephants. The website had listed this as one of the things to do in this package, which we did initially, but thought we’d have more time. This may not have been possible on our trip and may be dependent on the babies, but that really is the only thing I’d say.

Otherwise, I can’t fault the experience, I’m glad they are following through on the no riding activity and would recommend to anyone.

There’s a lot of discussion about elephant parks and ethics. After visiting Baanchamg we really got the impression that elephants are being treated well at this place. No elephant riding and that kind of things. You don’t see the guards hitting the animals with iron sticks! Great experience to feed and wash these lovely animals. Recommended!

On our trip through Thailand, me and my boyfriend went to chiang mai and due to the many offers of elephant tours we decided to book one.
Since the Baanchang elephant park already was rated very good we decided to book a full day tour there.
The organizer picked us up at a place of our selection and drove us to the reservate. This took approx 1h.
At the reservate we learned a lot about elephants, feeded a elephant and prepared meals for the elephant. We went for a walk with the elephant twice and also washed him in the river.
After a visit to the nursery station we drove home again.
Good thing here: the elephants seemed to be treated well without hooks and they aren't used for riding.
Highly recommended.

It was very impressive to be close to living forces of nature. This preservation park does everything needed to preserve and the elephants and the people that live nearby.

It's a must to be close to these giants and to be at a place who preserve them

We spent the day at with Sumit today.
Everything was clean, friendly and comfortable.the elephants seem happy and well cared for! You cannot ride the elephants anymore which is bitter sweet. But we still spent the whole day with these majestic creatures

As the title says, the best experience of our whole trip. Our group was made of just 4 people which made the whole experience feel really personalized and exclusive. Our guide Sumit was really friendly and was a good communicator. The elephants look really healthy and happy, they let them roam free and there is no riding. At the end, they took us to the nursery and we got to spend time with the baby elephants which was a huge bonus. I would really recommend this tour.
