It was a second visit as we love the pandas, but this time we were a little disappointed. I understand they need to raise revenue but unfortunately they are turning it into a theme park. The animal enclosures in some instances are just cruel. Yet significant resources are spent on theme park attractions. Surely the animals, their nurturing, protection and breeding program's should be paramount. Perhaps separate the two? The other problem is trying to walk everywhere up the hills is tough even if you are fit. The buses are good but forget the monorail.

We have been to bangkok zoo before but thought this was much better. Most animals seemed to have enough room to move and seemed happy. It was spread out well and you could get from one place to another easy by monorail or bus. The only thing i did not like was paying more to see the pandas, i think if you pay to go in it should be to see everything. There are places to eat inside. Glad that we went.

We really enjoyed this zoo, and it was cheap to get in too. It was quite spread out, but that was nice because the animals had lots of room to roam and weren't locked in small cages. The scenery was built up really nice too and made to look like the animals were in their natural habitat. The zoo is located on the mountain so if you aren't up for lots of walking up and down hills, I would suggest taking the zoo trolley that drives you around...we walked and enjoyed it, but we were definitely tired at the end. There were lots of animals! We were a little disappointed that you had to pay an extra 500 baht to see the pandas :(

no superlatives to describe this place! loved it! only went to the zoo and not the aquarium which was maybe whi i have no complaints judging by other peoples reviews they all ahted the aquarium. the zoo was brilliant, cheap to get in 100 baht. was massive took us at least 5 hours to get round everything, i would suggest walking and getting a map more enjoyable. there was loads of animals, birds and reptiles something for everybody. the majority of animals kept in large enclosures which was nice and got chance to feed a lot of them for 10-20 baht each. i fed the elephants, tigers and hippos. cheap food inside as well absoluty loved it and no complaints. definitly go!

A little far to get to but the drive up the mountain was refreshing. If you have never been to the Singapore zoo than this zoo is pretty good. You will notice that it is clean, well kept, you'll enjoy a good stroll and organized. Maybe not a bad idea to take a raincoat or umbrella just because its up a mountain and it could drizzle now and again.
