My room had wonderful antique furnishings, including a very comfortable 4-poster bed, plus the luxury of a private balcony overlooking the river.
Good attention was given to maintenance, as I saw two different maintenance teams repairing gym and spa equipment promptly.
I give special mention to the manager, Tang, who made a point of talking with each of his guests each day, such was the level of his personalised service. He was very welcoming, and very helpful in discussing sightseeing tours, taxi options, airport transfers, and indeed any aspect of the city and of his resort. He even gave me a lift into town at the end of one of his day's duties.
