Compared with other places I stayed at, this place has no character to it and is very boring. Hotel is somewhat new but looks tired.

We had ant problems in our room especially in one of the beds.

Breakfast was not good at all and small. The surrounding of the hotel there is nothing to do (hotel is not located in the jungle). Better that you stay in a different place that is more authentic in the jungle.

My partner and I stayed at the Tangerine Ville for 2 nights with a group of friends to attend a wedding in Fang. The evening reception for the wedding was also held in the hotel's function room.

We found the staff friendly and welcoming and the rooms simply furnished but comfortable and most importantly from my perspective, immaculately and spotlessly clean.

The breakfast was freshly prepared with a choice of a full English breakfast or traditional Thai rice soup all served with fresh fruit, toast and jam, fruit juice - so basically what would be expected from any good quality hotel. The meal served for the wedding dinner was amazing and the hotel happy to accomodate something like 200 unexpected guests for dinner (250 were invited!)

We were told before arriving by the bridegroom that the hotel was chosen for his wedding reception since it was considered by the locals to be the best hotel in town.

Fang itself is a very quiet country town which appears to draw its livelihood from farming rather than tourism so don't expect lots of attractions to visit, a hotel tour desk, a luxury spa, swimming pools etc.

However, if you engage a local driver, beautiful sights such as Doi Ang Khang and the Burma border are readily accessible as well as Royal Project sites.

If you like traditional Thai massage, there is a place in the town which does fabulous treatments, again in clean, simple surroundings just a few minutes drive from the hotel for 100baht an hour in a private air conditioned room or just 70baht and hour for a massage in an open room.

I probably wouldn't choose this hotel as the sole destination for a holiday but as a convenient stopover while exploring the more unspoilt regions of Northern Thailand it is faultless.

We have been to Fang on the occasion of a friend's wedding. A previous review of the hotel got us somewhat concerned so we were rather pleasantly surprised to find the rooms clean to European standard, the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast was freshly prepared and definitely bug-free (I for one would be squeamish about that). The one downside of the place is that it is quite a bit outside town along a long road with no places to go nearby. If you bring your own car that's fine otherwise you might prefer to look for a more central place. On the whole we were quite pleasantly surprised and found very little to complain about this hotel.
