“Fantastic Waterfall”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 25, 2014

I visited the Mae Sa waterfall on motorbike from Chinag Mai City in October 2013. There had been plenty of rain and it was flooded with a great torrent of water which made the whole visit very exciting. If you visit in the dry season you will be dissapointed. There is a nice walk up and down each side of the waterfall and oppertuinities to swim although the water felt quite cold in October. Parking, Food and Toilets easily available - free entry. Take care if you have young children - the water torrent would sweep them away there are no fences!

“Great scenery and a fun afternoon”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2014

This is a big, wonderful natural park to spend a quiet afternoon surrounded by nature. We bought some food at the entrance to make a little picnic, and they even lend you the basket to put your dinner in. After a short walk in the park, you have picnic tables beside the waterfalls where to enjoy your meal with perfect scenery.
After eating, we bathed for a few hours in the waterfall. The water is warm and we loved it, despite some garbage that could be seen floating not too far. Yet I think they are trying very much to keep the place clean, with bins everywhere and employees supervising well the park. Our five years old daughter loved swimming in the falls and didn't want to leave.
We later tried to climb higher, as there are ten levels of waterfalls, but the scenery doesn't get better than this and some trails are dangerous, so I'm happy we stop at the fourth or fifth waterfall for our afternoon. I would recommend it to every family and nature lover who needs a few hours away from the city and the tourist track.

“nice scenery not far from the city”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2014

We have been to Mae Sa a couple of times and the hike up the falls is always nice. The path is not too challenging and there are 12 tiers of falls and pools along the route. It does not seem to get a lot of tourists so it is usually not very busy which allows you to take in the views with a bit of peace and quiet.

“10 levels, but most impressive falls are in the middle”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2014

It's a long climb to the top to find that the top part is largely closed off. Some parts of the path are very slippery, but if you are in the area it makes for a nice afternoon walk. I would not make a special trip.

“breathtaking”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2014

the views were breath-taking... most of our walk was sauna-like with bugs the size u cannot even imagine! Taking a picnic lunch and your swimsuits to bathe in the rock pools would be a winner! quite an adventure with young kids and well worth seeing.
