We have been to Mae Sa a couple of times and the hike up the falls is always nice. The path is not too challenging and there are 12 tiers of falls and pools along the route. It does not seem to get a lot of tourists so it is usually not very busy which allows you to take in the views with a bit of peace and quiet.

It's a long climb to the top to find that the top part is largely closed off. Some parts of the path are very slippery, but if you are in the area it makes for a nice afternoon walk. I would not make a special trip.

the views were breath-taking... most of our walk was sauna-like with bugs the size u cannot even imagine! Taking a picnic lunch and your swimsuits to bathe in the rock pools would be a winner! quite an adventure with young kids and well worth seeing.

Unfortunately we arrived here quite late, around 4pm. I write this first, because i could imagine the entire day here. It was so nice to see thai families, couples picnicking and playing in the water.
Very clean.
The waterfall is huge, 10 levels. Because of the time limit (it is written that you have to leave the waterfall before 5pm) we could not go up to the top (we just reached the 8th level). However it was stunning. I'm very glad that we found this waterfall.

The entry fee is 100THB for foreigners. plus 20th motorbike fee. I had my thai work permit with me, so i could enter for 20THB.

After we had a light meal in the Four Seasons hotel, which was also very nice. Thai wine (not bad!:), pizza, friendly hospitality, rice field. Special thanks for the assistant manager and to Khun Pu, who took care of us at the bar.

You need to be a little bit healthy and good shoes if you want go higher than lever 3. There are 10 levels all together

Very busy with locals at the weekend and holidays. But very calm and relaxing to take a hike.

Recommended for anyone who loves walking.
