Novotel Chiangmai Nimman Journeyhub is a fantastic hotel located in the heart of Chiang Mai, with a restaurant serving Thai cuisine and an outdoor pool.

The hotel lobby and common area looks new. Nice restaurant area downstairs with the water features. Parents with small kids might want to watch, although they’re not deep, but have seen kids accidentally stepping into the water... wet socks and shoes aren’t fun. Apart from that, the breakfast is good, and nice area to hang out enjoying the welcome drinks.

The hotel room corridors are a little bit dark, and the hard tile flooring material made a lot of noises when people walk or pushing their luggage. Carpet would’ve been better.

Our room, for some reason, had the main lights keep timing out every 15 minutes, not sure if this is a power saving feature but our other travel members in another room didn’t experience the same thing, we checked the keycard is inserted properly at the door, we checked the balcony door is closed and locked and it’s still timing out. We tried moving around hoping there was motion sensor sensing lack of movements in the room, but does not work, and we have to flick the switch off and on again every 15 minutes. Very annoying.

On first night there was also noise from construction area next to hotel, even up to midnight. They seem to be planning expansion next to current site. No idea who would’ve still be working cutting steel etc at night.

Room tip: End of corridors as the tile floors transmit echo and noise when people walking, and away from the planned expansion construction site.

I was very concerned to read that you encountered a problem with in room main light control.I do apologize for your inconvenience. It would be much appreciated if you could indicate the room number by quick email drop to me at email HB4F8-RD@ACCOR.COM and the period of your stay, so I will have our Chief Engineer and the Executive Housekeeper to further investigate and inspect the room accordingly.

Hotel is new, room is very clean. We had breakfast in the hotel every day, even though selections almost the same each day but we enjoy ourselves due the ambience of the coffee house. Location is good, only 5min walk to the Maya Shopping Mall & One Nimman, lots of cafe & food stalls.

Nothing special; everything just okay. A bit far out of town. New and clean. Food alright; nothing special. The service was excellent. You had to pre-pay to have stuff put in your mini bar which I found odd for a high end hotel.

Nice , stylish hotel with excellent customer service. I liked the possibility to relax by the roof top pool. It’s small but was most of the time not crowded. The rooms are very tidy though otherwise quite standard. Location good next to Maya and One Nimman shopping and plenty of shops, restaurants and massage salons.
