The rooms are nothing special, but do the job. The beds are comfortable and the area is quiet so we slept really well. The thing that makes junior house stand out though is the staff. They are the kindest people who will always give you a cheery hello when you walk in and have helped us with so much, like figuring out the best way to get to different places in Thailand and booking (and collecting) train tickets. If you're looking for a great backpacking experience and aren't too fussed about the rooms as long as you sleep well, you have to stay here!

Arrived in Chang Mai 5 days ago and purely by chance decided to come to junior guest house
Really great everybody really loves their job and everyone goes out of the way to help
Rooms were 400bht for a fan room and 600 aircon. The residents are all considerate of one another. If I was coming back to Chang Mai this would be my first stop
Very laid back and great value

We stayed at jr. House with a family of 4 for ca 4 days and it is especially the staff that made this a great experience. Fine, Jeff, Tata, the other staff and of course baby Kothai made it feel like "home" like we did not experience anywhere else. They were also very helpful and knowledgeable in helping us out with bookings and tips. A next time in Thailand we certainly want to stay with them again.

Room Tip: If you just arrived in Thailand, make sure to make a reservation for a room with aircon

After spending a week in 5 different hostels none that were to great we found this place on here and thought we would try it out and booked for 2 nights! (ended up staying for 6) Well this place made our trip to chiang mai complete! The owners Tatar and Jeffrey go out of there way to make you feel so at home we didn't want to leave! My partner even brought his guitar out Into the lobby and had a sing song! The rooms are really big we had fan room with tv was about 400baht was very cheap for what you get! Food was very nice! Sorted out all different types of trips and tours! And we also tried out the rooftop jacuzzi that was also very nice! This place is a must if your in chiang mai!!! :D

Most friendly staff I have ever had in a guesthouse and I have travelled all over the world.

We sadly could only stay for 1 night but it was a real pleasure and nothing was too much to ask.

We were given advice on where to go, given a lift to the airport and the price is very competitive in comparison to everywhere else we stayed locally.

STRONGLY RECOMMEND
