Number 1 used to be the best bar in Chiang Mai but a year or two ago the owners opened up a second bar/restaurant and removed all resources from this bar except Avon the head girl. Part of the bar was closed, most of the staff moved to the new location and service has dropped dramatically. The expats who still go there do so only to meet their mates and the main topic of conversation is "where should we move to?"

This nice bar is up and running for many years. But....for some reason out of favour a bit. They already closed the small opposite bar.Though it's still a nice place to meet other expats and chat with the girls. They're not so pushy like in other bars. No blaring music either, but sort of mix of a restaurant/expat-meeting point and girlie-bar.

Nearly always busy with the local Farang (European) crowd. Reasonable prices good food, drinks and pretty ladies to serve you. It's popular for a reason. Soi off Loi Kroh Rd

number 1 club has a new sister near the river ping in padad.it is a favourate with Dutch and Belgians and a few bar girls ply there trade
but the food and atmosphere put it in a different category .The combination of laid back fun and lively music are what the other cubs should aim at

This falang owned bar is a favorite with expats. They offer a big selection of Asian and European beers at reasonable prices. They are a restaurant too, but I've never eaten their, though others speak well of the food. This is a fairly quiet neighborhood bar, with friendly very attentive service. They also have pool tables. I especially like it because they open at about 1 pm and it's a great place to stop by for an afternoon brew.
