This is a must! Need to do for the experience of getting a taste of Thailand. The food is ok, but the entertainment is what is the best. Make your reservations early so you can get right up front and wear something comfortable as you will be sitting on the floor! Loads of Fun especially when you are with a good group of people.

The experience overall was great. It was 520 baht per person for adult or child. Drinks extra. Food was great. Included a variety of dishes (yam fries, KFC style chicken, chilli stle dish, rice, sweet rice, veggie noodles, chicken curry). Kids enjoyed it. The dancing during dinner was great. The second show is boring. Just random short dances. No hill tribe necks as mentioned. Overall, great cultural experience. Get your own transportation via tuk tuk. It's cheaper than what they charge. Also you can find coupon for free drink in the chiang Mai booklet at he airport.

The Cultural Center is an interesting complex with hill-tribe craftmaking displays. The dance style is beautiful with alternating quick and slow movements. A show which is local musicians, music and dancers. It is as collectively beautiful and graceful as a major ballet.

A co-worker of my traveling companion happened to be in Chiang Mai the same time as us and wanted to take us to this Cultural Center, she grew up in Chiang Mai and hadn't been since she was little. My past experience with this type of thing has always been a little hokey, so I wasn't super excited, but we ended up really liking this! The food was delicious and the dancing really was beautiful. The highlight after the dinner was the Tribal dancing that takes place in the outdoor pavilion. I think this would be a great family event and I definitely recommend it.

It's good to visit this place to see some more of Thailand culture. Various Thai dishes to try. Some folk dances, long-nails women dance - all this is so Thai!!! My 7 year old daughter loved this as she likes dancing performances very much. We reserved the dinner table about week and a half before. The price included food (soup, main courses and deserts with coffee) and performance. It does not include additional drinks.
