“Not a bad place to stay, friendly service”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

Hotel is positioned in soi 6 which is in a back alley. It is within walking distance to all markets and some great great resturants (try stefano's Italian the food there is really tasty!)
The rooms and hotel are kept very clean and tidy however if your after a hot shower you're out of luck and the beds are very hard.
Probably the most annoying part of staying here was that the the rooms have no natural light really and the doors are paper thin so you hear every footstep and word spoken, even from downstairs. There is also two dogs across the alley that bark all night so if you are a light sleeper I would not recommend. If you do stay here I would recommend a room not outside the breakfast area or you'll find yourself being woken up at 6 every morning.

Overall the place is not bad, the service was great but just lacked in a few areas.

I recently stayed here with a group of friends and booked the standard room for $65 USD per night.

We were assigned the first floor room next to the lobby which was very loud and had no hot water. You can forget about any afternoon naps; its just too loud.

The beds were pretty comfy, the wifi worked, and the AC got cool pretty fast which was a plus. Location is pretty good near Old Town and waking distance from the Night Market. You have to walk through a very dark alleyway at night so be cautious.

I'd likely find a better place next visit.

This is a really sweet hotel away from the main street. It has its rustic and homely feel and staff is friendly and very helpful. Its only about 15 mins from the night market. The satff will help you rent a scooter and you can explore Chiang Mai with

Room Tip: Take a deluxe room. Its worth it.

The place was clean and well managed. They helped me book trip to the spa and dinner with no problems. The locations was great near the Sunday market. The only complaint that I have is that the bed was wayyyy to hard and I like hard beds. It was like sleeping on a rock with bad springs. For the price though cant beat it.

We loved this little hotel run by woman. The location could not be more perfect in front of the city gate of the old town, perfect for sunday night market. The place was super clean. They were super friendly and helped us very kindly with everything we needed. Next time I am in Chiang Mai I will make sure to stay at the same hotel. We loved it.

We spotted this place on a trip to Chiang Mai last year and thought we'd bear it in mind for our next holiday to Thailand.

We booked and paid for it in advance by credit card - their payment system was very good as we were able to book for 2 stays in the one transaction.

We arrived here in June which is the quiet season. The staff were very helpful and assisted with luggage and our room was superb. They are even happy to keep your luggage if you are planning on returning - ours was waiting in our room for when we came back from Mae Hong Son.

Nice quiet air condiitoning, lovely comfortable bed, TV, fridge and hairdryer in the room. There were also 2 bottles of water replenished each day.

The bathroom was modern and very clean.

Breakfast consisted of eggs, fried, scrambled or omlette with toast and jam and slices of melon. A glass of juice and water came with breakfast.

Throughout the day tea and coffee is left in the brekfast area for you to help yourself to.

They are happy to book a pre-paid taxi to the airport for 200 THB.

If I was to be really critical I would say that breakfast is a little slow but that's only because it is freshly cooked for you.

The location is excellent especially if you are here for the Sunday market.

For the price you'd be mad not to give this a try!

The hotel is located in a good location if you are a night bazar lover. it is very close to Thapae gate. the hotel is relatively new and rooms are clean but there are no windows and no outside light, so you dont want to stay the whole day in the room.
The breakfast is not good at all, just a few choices of egg ! fried, scrambled or omlet !
The worst thing about this hotel is its staff and service. they are very cheap people asking us to pay for hotel bills every day ! even one time they asked to pay for the bills at midnight. I had to get my credit card from my room and get back to cashier at the midnight. they charge you for whatever they can , if you are 1 hour late for checkout, you should pay 100 baht penalty. there is no respect for guests.
Also there is noticeable noise in the rooms as rooms doors open to lobby or reception !
also one day they missed to change our towels and put drinking water. but as their service was very poor we didnt bother to even notify them.
in summary the hotel is clean and good location but if you expect a good breakfast and respect avoid this hotel.
