Stayed for 5 nights and didn't want to leave. Huge rooms with nice Thai themed appointments and ultra comfortable mega bed.
Breakfast selection was wide, fresh and tasty everyday. All other meals were extremely well priced and ultra tasty as were the 2 for 1 "happy hour" drinks around the pool.
Staff were lovely and always smiling, attentive and asking where were we going and how we had enjoyed our day. We found no problem with their English (spoke far, far better than my Thai). Also very helpful booking tours for us without paying any more than elsewhere.
The pool was fantastic and well maintained as were all the grounds of the hotel.
Although it is a little out of town a tuk tuk only costs 80 baht (AUD $2.50)
and getting into town in the hotels one is free. Being out of town makes it a little quieter.
Sirpanna is not a place to take kids as it is more a relaxation resort and spa and kids would get bored easily here as it is not set up with children's entertainment activities etc.
Can't speak highly enough of the Sirpanna. Most definitely a "highly recommend" hotel.
This hotel has it all and we will definitely be coming back.

If you want to get great tour service visit the tour office directly across the road (the one on the left looking out from the hotel) - they are the most friendliest people and give great service and have the best prices for tours and car hire.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Deluxe Lana rooms (basic level) and it was far superior to any other rooms we staye...

We stayed three nights in the Siripanna hotel. We were really happy about this place for the following reasons:

- The staff was very friendly and always smiling. We were able to ask for restaurant recommendation and they facilitate our ride to the down town of Chiang Mai by either calling a taxi (or a Tuk Tuk) or via the shuttle services
- The room (Deluxe Lanna Double) was big, cleaned, quite and have all what we need (mini-bar, water heater, complementary water, hair dryer, etc.). The bathroom was big enough and had a bath tube and a shower.
- The breakfast buffet was good without being amazing. But it was good to have freshly cooked eggs or dumpling.
- The SPA massage were good as well even though we have noticed some difficulties to manage the timing of the massage (e.g. a one hour massage including 15 minutes of face massage end up in 55 minutes of body massage and only 5 minutes for the face).
- The swimming pool is great (it's a square! you can literally swim around). At the end of the afternoon there is complementary food (e.g. spring rolls, small sushi, etc.) and we definitely recommend the happy hour so you can enjoy your drinks while being at the swimming pool.

We will recommend this hotel to anyone especially for people looking for a lovely quite place. Ideal for couples !!

Room Tip: We had room at the second floor in the building on the right side of the pool. Very quite and have s...

Booked a grand deluxe room - on arrival were told that there is NO lift and grand deluxe is on 3rd floor. After checking room found it is all enclosed with no views and a long walk to pool restaurant & reception. Upgraded to villa - ground floor and near pool but.... all enclosed and no views to the outside even though the pool was just a few metres away, we could not see it. The wifi is not free but "ävailable" - a play on words. For the price of the villas wifi should be included.
Hotel was isolated, taxi and tuk tuk drivers exclaimed about the distance and overcharged for their services. Hotel vehicles were offered for our use on checkin but this did not eventuate - the hotel limo was parked at the front on most days. We were only ever offered the free one way tuk tuk at specified times in the middle of the day (who wants to go out then?) and in the evening. Waited 1 hour for a passing cab, which shows how unpopular the area is.
Reception area was very dark with no natural light in the room - floors were a bit uneven. Mosquitoes were rife but the hotel did provide repellant - I wonder why?? We stayed at Le Meredien previously and found it a much classier and busier hotel with a central location. (still had to pay for wifi)
Breakfast buffet was not cooked well (soggy and not fresh) and one day I believe that the bircher muesli was from the previous day!!!! Weekends had more choices.
I stayed 5 nights and would have changed hotels if I had not prepaid - not a good deal - and the hotel was rather deserted.
Reception staff tried - but their english was limited and they had to be asked questions several different ways until they understood the query. It was very frustrating. Seemed to be standing around talking and waiting for guests to impress.
The outside area and rice paddy and gardens were overgrown and needing attention
The photos are not honest and I cannot decide where the main inside photo is taken.
The outside photo is taken from above because one is unable to see any of the buildings from the ground - they are hidden by mosquito infested plants and trees.
AT THE END OF A WONDERFUL 4 WEEK HOLIDAY IN THAILAND, THIS WAS WAY BELOW THE STANDARDS WE ENCOUNTERED ELSEWHERE IN THE COUNTRY. DISAPPOINTING FINALE. WE WILL COME BACK TO CHIANG MAI, BUT WILL NOT STAY HERE.

Room Tip: take the cheapest available - no advantage in paying for a more expensive room

Dear Mrs. Deering, Rhonda Lynette,

First of all, thank you very much for your valuable feedback we have received during your stay. Such essential comment is very much appreciated and serves us to constantly improve services and comfort level for the benefit of our guests. I would also like to extend my personal appreciation towards your time you had taken of your busy schedule to highlight the challenges you had during your stay, once again, those comments will be taken seriously and are of paramount importance.

Please let me clarify that, as a resort in town property, the opened air area is designed for all guests to enjoy and relax in a nature-touched ambience. The airy reception area is outstanding with luxurious traditional Thai décor displays soft furnishings and koi carp pond.

The big wooden doors (gate of the universe) next to the lobby leads you to the grand outdoor swimming pool with pool bar and day beds surrounded by private villas and rooms in the greenery where more than 200 seedlings and 20,000 trees are well nurtured.

2 computers are available at the library for internet access while complimentary Wi-fi can be connected at lobby area and Siripanna Gallery.

We enjoyed our stay. Location was a little remote but only a 5-10 minute tuk-tuk ride. breakfast was nice and he room very large and spacious. The staff was very friendly especially Ying! Wewould say this hotel was more rustic or traditional. A nice change.

My husband and 11 yr old daughter just had our second stay at Siripanna .
Our first visit was only 3 nights last year and loved it so much we stayed 7 nights this time .
We absolutely love Sirapanna and it is now our number 1 stay.
When walking up the steps and into the foyer and the beautiful smell of essentials oils, huge bowls of floating flowers, the tinkling off the water feature and the amazingly friendly welcome with fragrant cold towels and icy drink reiterated why we came back , We felt like we were visiting friends or relatives not a resort thousands miles from home.
My husband injured his back just before we left and required the use of a wheel chair for the durartion of our stay this was provided free of charge and for use in and out of the resort.
The cleanliness, ambiance and general decor of the rooms are are delightful.
The food at the restaurant is beautiful and amazing value for money .
We had a couple of visits to the day spa and the treatment although priced close to what we pay here in Melbourne, was beautiful. The therapist are very well trained and very professional.
We cannot speak highly enough of the care and kindness shown to all of us during our stay and cannot wait to visit again .
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
It is a very quick and inexpensive trip to the centre of Chaing Mai and Markets.
We would also highly recommend the "walking markets " held on the weekends ,they are full of hand crafted goods not found else where in Thailand Markets

Room Tip: Resort is well set out so any position is good.

My family stayed at the Siripanna for 6 days in November, 2011 -- one the finest hotel experiences I have ever had. We got two adjoining rooms due to having two small children. The service is impeccable: the staff met us in the lobby every time we were going and coming and they adored our children. After a long day at the Patara Elephant Farm, we were spent and all the kids wanted to eat was McDonalds -- the the staff took care of ordering and having it delivered. Nightly turn-down service, stealthy housekeeping that makes up your room very promptly. The entire staff is extremely friendly.

The food is excellent. Don't miss breakfast in the mornings and the weekend BBQ is great as well. We spent part of everyday relaxing by the saltwater pool, with great food and quick drinks as well. The grounds are immaculate and the landscaping / architecture really do create a luxurious sanctuary. I can't recommend the Siripanna and the wonderful staff enough.
