I liked the restaurant decor, where we had dinner at the counter, very simple, but neat and traditional. The staff is very friendly, despite their very poor English - they even changed the TV channel they were watching when we arrived, choosing the CNN, instead of a Thai one... - but the food is just average. We ordered the 'famous' Wagyu beef, but it arrived cold and very tough - and I am almost sure that that one was not the 'famous' one. They could have told us before. The rolls were good and the sashimi was delicious.

Really nice restaurant with very high quality food in a nice setting. In the four times in two months we've eaten here, everything we've had was just great.

Definitely try the eggplan in miso sauce. Every piece of sushi and sashimi is great. The salad maki is a superb mix of crunchy and soft. Also try the beef tataki and zaru soba.

We stayed at Mandarin Oriental and this restaurant is just opposite the hotel entrance. We took the buffet at 700 bahts net and the choices are fabulous and dishes are cooked or prepared only at your order. Thumb up for food taste and quality and value for money. Thank you Khun San, the owner for serving us quality food for very good price.
