We were here in November 2010 and really enjoyed our stay. Thanya made sure we felt at home and was eager to please us. They were not busy this time of year so they were able to offer us a lot of attention and even sat and had drinks and a snack with us on the open terrace. Our first night she had a meal prepared for us and set a table out back with a view of the pool. Nice accommodations and friendly staff. We definitely recommend this place. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars for location is that you have to have transportation to town. The location is very private and gated. We wished we could have stayed longer, but we already had a flight and hotel booked in Bangkok.
We hope to return here someday!

I was very disappointed with services at Assaradevi Villa and Spa. To be fair to them, room was clean, sizable relatively big comparing to the other hotel in Chiang Mai. I think that because they have luxury of space since the hotel is located quite far from any tourist attractions and of course City Centre. I would recommend to rent a car if you stay at this hotel. As the previous reviewer has mentioned, the Breakfast is more on the economic side (both size and quality). My friend's hubby requested for an extra toast. It was quite shock to me that the waiter needed to seek permission from the lady owner. Oh please.. That was a piece of bread!!!!

Talking about services, I think that if you are local or especially if you come with your foreigner spouse.. I think that this hotel more welcome your spouse rather than you.. (even though you are the one paying money to them). I'm not sure if especially the lady owner has such a cheap impression that all local who comes with foreigner would have that sort of occupation. My friend was insulted and my conclusion is that NEVER AGAIN!!!

The newly opened place was a wonderful experience with personalised attention from the owner Khun Thanyamon, who keeps an eye for all details.

The place is near the airport in Hang Dong area, so need a transportation all through. No Seven Elevens or bars or eateries nearby either.

Has a great pool with poolside service. Thanya was kind enough to provide her car whenever we wanted.

Just on the flipside, the resort sits on the direct flightpath to Bangkok, so all day round the roar of the jet kept us alarmed.

Food was good with true north Lanna style taste and splendour. All rooms were outstanding, opening one side to the pool and the other to lush rice fields and non smoking.

Ask for Pork Hang La and Khao Suay for dinner.

Happy Touring,

Sundeep, Kolkata, India
