Good value for money, easy walking sistance to most things, and easy to get tuk tuk. Hotel lovely, rooms clean, staff very polite and helpful. Breakfast freshly prepared and tasted great.

Upon arrival we were upgraded to a suite, which was absolutely stunning. Rooms are spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. In fact the whole hotel is beautifully decorated. I especially like the courtyard area with the pool where you eat your breakfast in the morning. As for breakfasts, you get a good choice of options which you select the night before. The breakfast is cooked for you the way you like it. A great way to start the day.
Apart for the tranquil atmosphere of the hotel, the other thing I loved about this hotel was the service. Everyone is welcoming and accommodating. There are not many guests staying here so you do feel rather privileged. We had the misfortune of getting sick in Chiang Mai and hotel management personally drove us to the hospital for treatment and picked us up.
The hotel is near the main roads in the old city and within walking distance of many attractions there. The highlight for me was the walking street on Sunday night (which is a five Knute walk from the hotel). The hotel can also organise day trips for you should you want to see the attractions our of Chiang Mai.
If you want luxury at an affordable price you can't go wrong with Baan Klang Wiang.

You won't go wrong booking here. The room is very large and very nicely furnished. The courtyard and lobby are very attractive and calm. The breakfast was large, and the staff were unfailingly courteous and polite.

Finding the right balance between hot and cold was difficult in the shower, but that's a minor point. It was also a little tricky to find our way back to this hotel, but the signage helps. The reasonable price puts this place firmly in the "excellent" category. Overall, it was one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at and I would certainly recommend it to anyone.

Amazing value, a small luxury boutique hotel at a modest price. Tucked in a quiet corner of the old city, you can walk to the major temples, museums and restaurants in this area within 15 minutes. Deluxe accommodations and common areas including a pretty pool. Generous and delicious breakfast is served. Chiang Mai can be chaotic and trafficy, so a serene oasis like this is particular welcome at the end of the day.

This place is really worth to stay. The decoration is beautiful in colonial styl. The staff is really friendly and the service is on a very high level. Perfect breakfast and the best coffee (nespresso). The free internet in room is very fast. Also there is a dvd player in the room and you can ask in the lobby for dvd's to watch. Location is at a quiet area from Chiang Mai. You can rent a bike at the lobby. The beds are a little bit hard but we did slept well.
