I selected this hotel for a small group I was taking around Thailand on a phototour to show them some real Thai hospitality. I was not dissapointed. The hotel is small and nothing flashy but the atmosphere is great. The rooms are not large but adequate, the beds comfy and bathrooms clean and functional. You do not go here for the 5 star experience, you go for the intimate, homey feel with wonderful staff, good breakfast and pleasant ambience. Location, whilst, not right in the centre is walking distance to hundreds of bars, restaurants and shops and only a short taxi ride to the night bazaar. There is also a HUGE Sunday market a few minutes walk away (but only on Sundays, silly). Overall a great place to stay for modest but extremely comfortable stay in Chiang Mai.

A wonderful liitle gem in a perfect location in the old city. Always so nice, after a long hot day of touring and adventures to come back to a guest house that feels like your own home. The staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is ever a problem. The rooms are great-exceptionally clean and spacious. The breakfast is always laid out nicely, with a wide variety to choose from and everything is so fresh. We have loved every minute of Chiang Mai, and a large part of this is definitely thanks to Baan Habibah. We would 100% return, and would highly highly recommend this guest house. Definitely worth those extra few 100 Baht!!!!!!

A beautiful guesthouse within the Old City - Baan Hanibah is a perfect launch pad for exploring Chiang Mai. The main house is beautiful with modern amenities and great communal space (including a public computer). The bedrooms are beautifully decorated with everything you could ask for. The staff and owners were very hospitable and the breakfast (and 24 hour free cookies and fruit) were delicious.

Enjoyed a pleasant three day stay at Baan Hanibah. The staff is friendly, the rooms clean and comfortable, and the surrounding garden and second floor deck are niceties that you don't find in every guesthouse. Baan Hanibah, though conveniently located in the old city, is on a small side street, just far enough away from the noise to be quiet and relaxing. The next time I pass through Chiang Mai, I'll definitely consider staying here again.

For people planning a longer stay, make sure to ask about discount rates.
