The room is great for the price, which is negotiable by the way. TV, good beds, wifi, fridge, AC. The staff is good too. The only minus is that if you're looking to meet other travelers you will likely not. Otherwise, top notch. I forgot to mention breakfast included!

If you need a cheap place to stay in a central area of town, Na Inn is a good choice. You can walk to the night bazaar and the central areas of town in just a few minutes. Tuk tuks and songtaews are readily available too. I stayed in a single room for two nights and, while I booked a dorm bed for my third night, I didn't end up staying because the windowless room had a very strange smell.

After being out in the heat, it's great to have a place to come back to with AC and a western toilet! My main complaint is the security and lack of service. The people at the front couldn't even point out where we were on a map and were no help when trying to get to different locations. But, that's just part of traveling with a language barrier. As far as the security goes, it would be all too easy for someone to break into the bedroom and there's no really secured room to leave your belongings in if you're going out for the day. Basically, you can just leave them by the front desk or in the adjoining room. Most of the time, someone is sitting at the desk. But that wouldn't account for any other guests rifling through your stuff. When I went out, I would carry my most important possessions in a daypack and leave my bag full of clothes in the little side room, which is part of the connected laundromat.

Room Tip: I recommend the single room and, if you want a hostel, you can find a better place for the same pric...

Stayed here for 6 nights, and was more than satisfied with our stay.

The wifi is pretty good, there's a large selection of channels on the tv, and the rooms are very large. The hotel has multiple restaurants nearby, and is a short walk from most of the markets and bars.

On the downside, the bathrooms could use some TLC, and the breakfasts pretty much consisted of toast and corn flakes (which did the trick for me, but might not for some).

Disappointing experience.
Used to be able to contact the hotel directly and speak to Ms Maeow who is always peasant, conversant in English and who takes the trouble to understand customers' needs.
My most recent trips were in January & February 2014.
We used to patronise Na Inn annually (occasionally, several times a year) in large groups and had no problem communicating our needs to Ms Maeow who provided exemplary service.
However, since the new owners took over, despite repeated calls and leaving my email address for them to return my communication ( i needed to make a group booking), no one attempted to contact me. (for upcoming trip in June 2014)
This necessitated me calling (from overseas) the hotel again several times a day; and for the past 5 days, despite making numerous calls, nobody attempted to provide satisfactory answers to my requests for booking and were just passing the buck.
Sad to say, I will not be looking at Na Inn again as the preferred place to stay in my future visits to Chiang Mai.
It has been a frustrating experience altogether since the new owners took over.

I have since confirmed a booking at Phoothawee House which is just a stone's throw from Na Inn.
It is such a refreshing change to receive "proper service" after all the frustrations!

We stayed for three nights at this place. When we arrived, new owners had just bought the place two days before so it was a bit unorganized. The new staff were very friendly and apologetic and are currently working on updating and painting. There was no breakfast as they had not organized that yet. The rooms are nice and spacious and clean, however the mattresses are very uncomfortable and hard. The location is great and I think when the new owners get things completed it will be a great spot to stay.

This zinn is great for people o na budget who want to be in the heart of the city. You can walk to anywhere from the guesthouse. The inn keeper speaks excellent english and is lovely. The facilities are clean (except for black hair everywhere but that cannot be avoided with no vacuums). There is a shower curtain and great air conditioning. The rooms in the front do get a bit loud (but you are downtown) at night but I sleep through anything so this was not a problem. Great choice would recommend!!

This little hotel looks nothing from the outside, but the rooms are clean, spacious and the beds are comfortable. They provide a fridge, TV, air con, wardrobe, table and a comfortable chair. There's no fancy décor, but I found it quite adequate.

Room Tip: The front rooms have a balcony, but the rooms at the back are more quiet.
