We used to go there every week. But since we moved away from that area, we had not had much chance visiting again. But the ambience is good, prices are reasonable.

JJ's offers American and Western style fare, which I do appreciate for breakfast. It's been around for years and has become a must-stop for a trip to Chiang Mai.

Friends, family, tourists, like to eat here because the menu is diverse, the food is good, and it's inexpensive.

Friendly little cafe, nice atmosphere, the bread appears to be delivered from a local bakery everyday, (It is not baked on the premises, I have seen it delivered). I have only eaten there for breakfast, excellent home made muesli, It is my experience that the coffee whilst nice, is a very small in measure and the cappuccino is far to frothy.

A little on the expensive side considering the immediate competition.

Easy to find located on Thapae Road near Thapae Gate. The owner seems to be there most mornings and is very pleasant and helpfull.

Just 100 meters east of Tapae Gate,on north side of Tapae Road- the sign says " sandwiches". They roast their own coffee, bake their own bread and the fruits and veggies are always fresh. Very good juices with some healthy blends "Heart Starter" is my favorite! Friendly service, daily English language newspapers.....AC, an oasis from heat and noise. Many local expats make this their breakfast place for good reason.
