What a surreal experience having dined in many Italian restaurants over the years around the world including Italy it was difficult to believe we would experience the best to date in Thailand not intending to dine in at Favors that evening but heavy rain forced our hand in deciding to eat at one of the hotels restaurants thank you rain!
We enjoyed it so much we revisited the following night, second visits can often be an anticlimax never matching the first not in this case!
The service was highly polished attentive without being intrusive but made to feel extremely welcome by all.
We received a selection of breads and bread sticks the bread served eighty warm
This was accompanied with two different butters pesto and sun-blushed tomatoes and a dip similar to humus it was totally unexpected and free of charge. When we ordered our main course were asked if we would like our pasta Alidanty
I am not going to bore you with the details of our meals for fear of spoiling your experience, but the freshness and subtle use of ingredients made for a meal that far surpassed our expectations!!
The restaurant has contemporary style
The cheapest white wine was 1800bht aprox £40 Although we paid 1345bht because of a cellar promotion. Over the two nights with the one bottle of wine shared over the two the total cost per night for two averaged out at £35
My only criticisms are of the fixed style bench seats in parts of the restaurant which are slightly low when the large bowl arrived with my main course sitting nicely in it
I had to fully elongate my back to look in! But I should have asked for a cushion also the cost of the cheapest is not cheap despite the offer wine no house wine seemed to be available.
