“Wonderful Hotel”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

My husband and I stayed at Le Meridien in July, and we had a great experience! We stayed there for a total of 3 nights. The hotel is in a great location for Chiang Mai. It is located right next to the night market, and it is walking distance to the the old city, which has many restaurants and more markets. The staff we friendly and accommodating. In the middle of our stay, we rented a motor bike and rode it to Pai for a night. The staff was helpful in recommending a place to rent the bike (many places try to rip you off), and they held our large bags for us while were gone. They also have an incredible pool with fantastic views of the mountains and the sunset! We would highly recommend this hotel.

I and my friends as a group of 6 are spent a holiday in Chiang Mai. There were a few nice restaurants in Chiang Mai we thought would be highlight for our holiday, but if it was not open on our scheduled day or unavailable upon our arrival, that must be a pity. I on a trial wrote to Meridien, their Concierge staff promptly replied me and told me made all the dinner reservations for me. Better than most of tour guide and even secretaries, Concierge staff provides me a name list of the restaurant staff who confirm the booking. Moreover, when I ask Meridien about some activities in Chiang Mai liking cycling, their Concierge staff provide me very detailed information. Very helpful to travellers who never been to Chiang Mai but like planning by themselves. Thanks to CHAIRAT KONGPRAJAK & PAKKAPOL CHUMPAWAN.

My wife and I have just finished a very nice 5night stay at Le Meridien and were extremely impressed with the establishment, the check in was fast and being a spg member was upgraded to the 17th floor with lovely mountain. views and a lounge chair approx. 10ft. long in front of the window.
Breakfast as usual was varied and plentiful and delicious, staff were extremely friendly and nothing was any trouble for them, the pool area was very nice and inviting, the gym seemed well set out and popular.
The night markets are right outside the hotel with lots of stalls selling their wares, the food courts were very cheap with good meals selling for as little as $1australian, the average $2.
Alcohol is very cheap with 7-11 shops selling large bottles of beer for $2
If we return to Chiang Mai we will stay at Le Meridien again and highly recommend it to Trip Advisor members

Room Tip: higher floors have better views and become a SPG member to get upgrades

Initially, the Le Meridien Hotel was highly recommended by my friend when I told her I was planning a vacation to Chiang Mai and gladly she was right about the establishment. It is only 10 minutes away from the airport if you take a taxi ( the fare is only 120 baht ) and the hotel is strategically located at Changklan Road where the Night Bazaar ( shopping haven) takes place everyday. It is also a walking distance from Anusarn Market and Kalare Market which offers an abundance of cheap goods as well as seafood restaurants.Frankly, the overall service provided by the entire hotel staff including front desk, bell boy and even the room service is excellent which exceeded my expectations, plus they are quite fluent in English. The rooms are comfortable and it accentuates a home-like atmosphere because of the furnitures so don't worry about adapting to the environment. In addition, all the facilities are well managed and the hotel has an exquisite dining selection so if you don't feel like dining out yet crave for local delights, the restaurants are guaranteed to satisfy your ravenous appetite. Moreover, there is also free WiFi for the convenience of the guests and there is a flat screen television with a wide selection of channels for your entertainment.Furthermore, there is a massage parlor for guests' relaxation as well as a beautiful swimming pool for those who just want to relax by the shades after a swim . In a nutshell, I highly recommend Le Meridien hotel to all those who are planning to visit Chiang Mai :)

We have stayed at Le Meridien several times and each time it lives up to expectations. The hotel is ideally located for the night markets, river, and Chinatown (Warorot) areas and only a 15 minute walk to both the Saturday (Wulai) and Sunday (Rachadamnoen) night walking street markets. The faclities at the hotel are good and food in the restaurants too. Nice afternoon teas. The hotel hosts some social functions for expats as well. Wehave always found the staff to be well trained, polite and helpful.

We really this hotel, it was our third time staying here. The location is the best, it's close to all the good restaurants and right in the middle of the night bazaar.

Breakfast was great, variety and delicious. Fast service even though they always busy.

The room was nice, clean and modern of course. There's nothing that I don't like about this hotel at all.
