My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at Pak Chang Mai for two nights in Feb-March. It was by far the nicest guest house/accommodation we stayed in in Thailand. O and the Pak Family were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The room was super clean, spacious and welcoming. We went trekking between our two night stay and they offered to keep our extra luggage for us while we hiked. Our same comfortable room was waiting for us upon our return, along with a nice welcome note, treats and tea. The beautiful entrance and lounge area was a peaceful respite from busy Chang Mai and definitely something to look forward to at the end of a hectic day of touring. Breakfast was wonderful. They were very helpful in arranging transportation to the airport. Pak Chang Mai is definitely very good value for the money and a must stay spot in Chang Mai. Thank you for such a lovely experience!!

This place offers great value for money and is a wonderful home base for a trip to Chiang Mai. Once you walk through the gate, you feel as though you have stepped into a little slice of heaven. The property houses a lovely pond and garden. It has a lovely area where you can relax, get a massage, read, listen to music (they have CD players in every room and a bunch CDs for you to choose from PLUS a CD player in the communal area). There are two computers available for your use (as well as free WIFI through out the hotel) as well as an assortment of Thailand travel books in all languages.

The rooms are all very comfortable. We ended up staying in three different rooms (due to our planning and had nothing to do with their booking system) and we liked them all.

The breakfasts were healthy and plentiful. It was a really nice way to start our days.

The property is one minute away from a daily night market. It offers some really great street food (and desserts!)

Every place the staff suggested to us (restaurants, massage, cooking classes) turned out to be excellent. Thanks to O and all the staff at Pak Chiang Mai for a wonderful experience!

I booked a room at Pak Chiang Mai based entirely on other people reviews on the internet. I didn’t regret it at all. This was one of the best stays I had during my 45days trip in SE Asia and I would definitely recommend it to friends. The staff is very friendly and ready to assist you in any way they can. The hotel is just across the area where the Saturday Night Market takes place.

One of the best parts of my staying was the transport to the airport (200THB) with a 1960 (?) Mercedes. Pure class…

We stayed here in 2009 on our honeymoon and had a wondeerful experience. it's more like staying in a lovely house with lovely hosts who take care of you as family.

The hosts were extremely helpful in making our stay in Chiang Mai brilliant and the rooms were quaint and homely.

overall, would highly recommend this as a place to stay if you are looking for home like comforts.

Pak Chiang Mai is exactly what I was hoping it'd be, authentic and relaxing! The moment we arrived was special as O welcomed us with a cool drink and checked us straight in. The room was simple but lovely and everything is very clean, and serviced every day. The breakfasts are included, beautifully presented and yummy! At first my husband said he'd like a TV in the room, but after a couple of days he'd changed his mind, it was lovely to have the peace and quiet to just read and relax. They have bottles of cold water you can take with you when you go out as well. The garden, dining area and massage area at the front of the building are beautiful and just make you relax instantly. All the staff are lovely and very helpful. We would stay there again and it's very good value for money. The location is quite good as well.

Room Tip: I would probably pay the extra and get upstairs room, all rooms are good
