We chose this place based on other Trip Advisor reviews, and were completely delighted that we did. The location on a small lane just inside the Old City is both off the beaten track, yet only a block from Saturday Night Market and walkable distance to the Sunday Night Market, as well as all the temples in the Old City. In the early morning (before 9 or 10), there is a huge bustling market less than a block away filled with stalls selling all sorts of cooked foods, fresh produce, seafood and meats and flowers. This was the site of one of the most moving and memorable scene of our trip was watching the people offer alms to the monks and praying together in pairs or families as the monks chanted.
The common areas of the hotel are part of an enclosed courtyard garden that is quiet, shaded, serene and lush and our room also looked out into a small enclosed garden. We loved the choices of more Western style breakfast, and more typical Thai breakfasts. The service in general and in the restaurant was both hospitable, gentle and soothing.More
