During my visit to the Buru Siri Hotel me and my family experienced very low hospitality and a very, very bad housekeeping!
It started with the transfer from the trainstation which did not show up although we mailed the reception more than twice to be sure of our pick-up.
We were forced to arrange alternative transportation and what came out: a third of the price offered by the hotel! Hotel price was THB 300,- and our own driver (Mr. Boyd Changmai, can be found at Tripadvisor) offered us THB 100,-.
During our stay is became clear that hygiene is not a top priority at the Buru Siri Hotel. Floors and mirrors stay dirty and are not cleaned. Tea and coffee are not coffee refilled after use and neither are the bathroom accessories such as body lotion for the ladies. The floors were already dirty on arrival and this dirt was left after 4 days! Toilet rolls were replaced after use by 1 meager roll and when we asked for 1 extra it went with a lot of effort! All in all a big 0 for the cleaning and other staff (with the exception of the breakfast service - who did their best to provide service). Arrogant and unfriendly!

Dear guest,

After investigation, we found that you stayed with us during 15-19 August 2019. First of all, We have to apologize for what happened with you here start from the pick-up mistake. This case is a human error that our driver went to the airport instead of the train station. He admitted this mistake and we did do a warning and punishment on him. The second case about our housekeeping, we already did a warning and punishment on her as well since she did not work comply to our standard. Again we are really sorry for what happened and hope you can forgive us.

Sincerely yours,

Clean romantic rooms, built approximately 3 years ago. Location is pretty much in the center of the trendy places to go, most abundant of 4-5 restaurants, massage spas. Easy transportation, tuk tuks, grab and song tow ( shuttles) every 30 seconds or less.

7-11 waking distance about 3 minutes. Starbucks 2-3 minutes by car.

Maya shopping plaza about 3 minutes also by car ( movie theater (hy-so available seat section), food court, shopping ok a bit limited. Central Festival about 10-15 minutes by car more complete meaning more diverse.

Fun note: the malls frequently have special events, ( fashion shows, cosplay, airline stewardess competition) to name a few. Can be found on FB.

I do enjoying using the pool at this hotel but was quite disappointed when I went there 2 weeks ago. I had bought a 'monthly' pass for the use of the pool but had injured my foot so could not walk let alone swim & I was told that it had 'expired'--really? Did not realize that word existed in Thailand & I had 4 visits left!! Will not be going there as often as I would like to now--on principle as I did spend a lot of money there on food & drink. Food is great, service by Ommie was onderful as she was always so accommodating & nothing was too much trouble for her.

Dear lovely guests,

Normally, co-working space monthly member can be used for 30 days. From our investigation, you bought 10 visits in for one month period. If you have trouble with your injury and not be able to use the member in the period, you should have discussed with our staffs before it expires. Then we can extend it for you on case by case occasion. Thank you again for your valuable comments. Looking to servicing you again in the near future.

Sincerely yours,

Had the pleasure of spending several days at the Buri Siri Hotel, enjoying both the pool as well as the restaurant/co-work area.

From coming in the door to the atmosphere as well as the pool area - absolutely fantastic, and would return any day (and stay forever if possible).

An extra high-five to Jimmy for taking fantastic care of us!

See you soon again! :)

Buri Siri feels like a colonial lodge in the jungle except it is in the hip district of Chiang Mai. You can walk the streets around it finding vegan cafes, small fashion stores, and lively night markets. Plus, you have a home base with a comfortable bed, large room, balcony, and pool. Breakfast included of course. My wife and I came here on our honeymoon and would definitely recommend it. Lots of little touches and friendly staff. Welcome to the jungle!
