Had planned to do this after viewing online but became a little hesitant upon learning of a death in April.
Picked up at hotel 6.30am and met with a small group in the mountains on a perfect day.
After a briefing we made our way up a steep climb to the first platform.
Our instructors were very thorough explaining the safety steps and feeling nervous was away on the first zip line..spun around and came to the first platform backwards.
From there onwards, relaxed and loved every zip line after that. The views through the jungle were fantastic and the sounds of the bird life added to the enjoyment.
Enjoyed a fabulous Thai lunch with the group.
So pleased I overcame my fears and enjoyed an experience of a lifetime.
Our instructors were fantastic and felt very safe after the first zip line.

Found this thru a local Danish travelbook. We had a fantastic time with lots of fun while trying the various ziplines. Failed to count, but there were more than 10, the most fun being the first at 800m and a max speed of 68km. We were very well treated by the 2 skilled young guys and their apprentice, who accompanied us during the tour, and we were at no point worried about security. Our son (13years) had to do some twin runs with one of the instructors due to his weight. The price may seem a bit steep, but its worth every penny.

Our family was booked at Flight of the Gibbon zipline on April 13. We arrived at noon and were told the course was closed because a tree had fallen on the course. Our return shuttle was delayed and we waiting for its return. We were refunded our zip line fees and asked if we wanted to rebook. It became evident that there was some sort of accident on the course. We watched a man be brought to the ambulance and taken to the hospital that day. His face was covered and a woman was hysterical and went with him into the ambulance. We can not recommend this activity to others and feel for the victims family. We are disappointed that the day was cancelled but thankful that it didn't happen to us. This company was supposed to be the safest zipline company in Thailand and has excellent reviews. I feel sick writing this but feel I have to in light of recent news. God bless!

A tragic accident did occur at Flight of the Gibbon in Chiang Mai on a swing apparatus. We were closed temporarily to do an extensive root cause analysis. We are now however presently open, fully licensed and insured. As an abundance of caution we have removed this swing apparatus from the course. Even though we were previously and are currently in compliance with both the ACCT standard (American Association for Challenge Course Technology) and Thai law, we are now taking additional steps beyond the standards by layering multiple redundant inspections. We have also just recently become a member of the ERCA (European Ropes Course Association) and will be flying over their inspectors shortly to complete yet another inspection on our courses. Flight of the Gibbon will only operate its standard Zipline courses for the foreseeable future. We have operated in Thailand for over 12 years as well as internationally. Accidents have been extremely rare considering the several hundred thousand safe experiences over the years.

Great activity and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Chiang mai. It started with a short hike and I saw 2 gibbons before start ziplining. Staffs are professional and friendly. This adventure was the highlight of my trip
