A boutique hotel with rooms that face into an inner courtyard. We got a great rate online and it was worth it. It's a little outside of town and walking to the night market is about 45 minutes to 1 hour...so you do rely on tuk tuks (but the staff easily helps you to get one). Free internet on communal laptop in the lobby (none in rooms/no hook-up or wireless). Didn't use spa. Restaurant has great food...is under-rated/utilized by guests, but we had some of the best soups there in all of Thailand--and their Thai sausage is great--better than some of the "recommended" restaurants in town. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. A great place for a honeymoon-or just to unwind.

The hotel was absolutley beautiful, very stylish and comfortable. The location was peaceful set on the river bank just out of town, although easily reached if required. All the staff were first rate, very helpful and friendly. If ever we was to visit Chiang Mai again, we would certainly stay at the Aruntara and would not hesitate in recommending that others do the same.

Absolutely a luxurious place to relive myself in a quiet, beautiful, peaceful, and comfortable space of our own. The Thai Massage was great with professional ladies. She knew my faults of my bones and joints by just feeling and massaging my body. Totally trusted her, and was marvelously relaxed. Smiles of all the staff, the perfect room with a gorgeous bath tab, marvelous food, and the cooling Chiang Mai air will never be forgotten. Thank you for your warm hospitality. Hope to come back again!

Beautiful boutique style hotel. We stayed in the basic room and it was really spacious. Loved our room so much! The hotel is close-ish to the night markets. Its not anywhere near the night life so if you're after a quite hotel, this is the place for you. Perfect for honeymooners and couples. I would definitely stay here again if i was to return to Chiang Mai. FYI - if you plan to book tours whilst in Chiang Mai dont go through the hotel, its more expensive.

stayed for 4 nights - best hotel on our 2 month trip of thailand. the staff couldn't have been any more attentive- the room was just gorgeous, the food delicious, and after days walking, shopping, temple hopping - it was an oasis of calm. perfect. wish there was one in every city !
