We spent two nights at the Eurana Feb 19 to 21st. Two things stuck out: the receptionists were utterly miserable and the fire escape from the 2nd to the 1st floor was chain locked. On several occasions we asked to have the chain removed but nothing was done about it.

This hotel has it all; a mini gym, cosy pool with plenty of sunlight hours to grab yourself a bit of colour. The reception staff were super helpful and the room service was second to none, with some of the sweetest staff around.

On the downside, we booked in to a superior room, which was located on the ground floor in a musty corner of the hotel. Our room smelt pretty bad, but it was fully stocked with a mini bar and the bed and shower facilities were of acceptable standard.

In a nutshell, I'd recommend this hotel, but maybe pay a little extra to get a better room. Unfortunately we booked online and were unable to view the room first or change.

Room Tip: Superior rooms are far from superior, go for a more expensive room if you're not on a budget.

We liked our stay here. The location was close to the main attractions. We rented a scooter here (highly recommend) and drove all around the city. It was so cheap to rent a scooter for the day (around $20) and easy to drive around the city. We even went to the temple on top of the mountain with the scooter. The massage that I got there was great but more pricey than what you would get walking outside the hotel. The rooms didn't seem all the clean and a little outdated but what do you expect for such a low price?

This is in the north east corner of the rectangle formed by the moat around the old city, very near the main attractions and about 15 minutes' walk from the regular night market.
Clean and comfortable rooms although our double mysteriously turned into a twin on arrival.
There is nice garden and fish pond but it only seems to serve drinks there occasionally and when we asked for a drink we were directed to a grim hostel bar round the corner.
Breakfast is the usual hotel buffet but there are better options just across the street.

Room Tip: The lift only appears to serve one wing, and not the one on the right as one faces the reception are...

This hotel is very good value with all that you require for a comfortable stay. The rooms are clean and well-appointed while the breakfast is very acceptable. The other ammenities, internet and also the massage center are good additions to the overall experience and cost, The only down-side is the side-street that the hotel is on. It is quite narrow but manageable and if you don't mind walking, it is a superb location, being inside the moat at the north west corner.

Room Tip: Be careful of the rooms at the southern end as they experience the heat of the day and the walls war...

Eurana is a pleasantly clean and well-landscaped boutique hotel with a good location in the Old City of Chiang Mai, and a 15 minute walk to the night market. We booked a Deluxe Pool Villa for $66 USD/AUD for a night and were happy with the quality of accommodation. The Deluxe rooms are spacious, with a table and chairs, king size bed, and mini-fridge plus tea & coffee supplies. The bathtub is western size (vs. Thai size tubs), and the shower pressure the best in all of Thailand. The pool is refreshing but not overly cold, and there are a dozen lounge chairs with a few umbrellas for shade. It's not always possible to get a pool towel, as the attendants work odd hours and take frequent breaks. My only complaint with the room is that it would have been nice to have a reading light near the bed. Also, the included breakfast left much to be desired, but there are many excellent cafes in the area.
Instead of eating here, walk down Soi 9 for the best breakfast ever at Blue Diamond. Order the hash browns, scrambled eggs or omelette with toasted bun (homemade), and the spicy avocado salad (it's not really spicy)--mix it all together, and prepare to become addicted!

We stayed at the Eurana for 3 nights during our stay in Chiang Mai and were happy with the room and you can't beat the location! There is a wonderful restaurant too right behind the hotel called "Nice Kitchen" that we ate breakfast at every morning. Rooms were nice and comfortable for sleeping. Would recommend staying here!
