“Don't stay here if you're out on the pull!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2014

I arrived at about 2am, owner was understandably half asleep and pretty friendly considering. The room was basic and clean. Very good value for money, I think paid about £8 GBP per night. Free wifi.

Really, really close to Khao San Road which is a must see in BKK.

There is a Muslim call to prayer very early in the morning, which is obviously no fault of the hotel but nevertheless is annoying.

DO NOT stay here if you intend to bring a girl/guy back! There is a big sign on the window forbidding it, and if you try and sneak them upstairs you will get a telling off :D. It's okay if you book a room for 2 people, as long as you turn up with that person when you check-in. If you check-in by yourself, you cannot let anybody else into your room later. I was seeing the same Thai girl for the duration of my stay, but because she wasn't present when I first checked in the owner did not let her in. We had to sit outside on a bench, eventually he felt sorry for her and let her stay the night :D

I think the reasons behind this are because there are instances of theft/trouble when foreigners bring back strangers to their room.

stayed here for 2 nights in febuary, its quite difficult to find (down a narrow alleyway) but once you find it youll know where it is easliy...even after a few drinks....

easy check in, nice staff
room was basic but has great air con, essential in that heat
comfy bed
bathroom basic but for 2 nights perfectly acceptable
great location for khao san road and other streets, we liked the street behind khao san road for bars and food, less people hassling you etc
had an early flight so easy to get a taxi to the airport, cost is 400 baht which is great value as its 40 mins drive away

all in all, you wouldnt want to stay here for a week, but for a weekend trip where your hardly in your room, perfect.

We stayed there for a night. Love the location as it was close to Khaosan Road and yet not noisy. Also many tourist attractions like Grand Palace and Wat Arun are only a short boat ride away. The rooms were basic but clean and in budget. As added bonus, Ali the guy at the reception, was really funny and helpful! Loved my stay here.

apart from having to wait 5 hours to checked into our room after a along flight was very stressful!! but apart from that I really liked the hotel, it would have been better if it was closer to town.

Breakfast was really good great selection friendly staff.

DO NOT buy from the diamond shop (most tour guides or tut tut drivers will try & take you there as they get commission) and when you get home you realizes its not a diamond its glass! I know I few people this has happed to now! please be careful

I stayed last night with one friend, our room was on the bottom floor, it was clean and all fine.
The manager was expecting us and greeted us on arrival, he was also very helpful telling us about things in the area and very pleasant in general.
Excellent value for money!

We were entirely misled by the photos. What we encountered was a nightmare. First, the taxi driver could not find the place -- not surprising, since it is marked only by a very small sign that points up an alleyway. When, after almost an hour, the place was finally found, we were appalled. We walked through the alley to what can only be described as one-step-above-homeless accommodations.

The air-conditioner, such as it was, was over the bed (!), light from the hallway was also over the back of the bed. The shower was part of the toilet...one would need to take a shower over the toilet bowl.

We could go on, but you get the picture. We left, after a brief time to deliberate where we should do next. Avoid this place.
