I hardly eat Chinese food in BKK being a Chinese person. With that said I do come by this place semi-frequently because of it's close proximity to my work. This is a good place for an average Chinese meal.
Soup noodles is one of the main thing i order here. I have always love the texture of the northern chinese noodles, perhaps it's the dna that i inherited from my mom's side. Though this place don't have a glass window to the kitchen, I can just imagine the chef in the back of a typical filthy chinese kitchen rolling up da dough and beating it against the wooden cutting board until it becomes a million strands.
I used to frequent this place more because they had TomYum noodles but too bad they got rid of it. So i recommend the 2nd best which is the beef brisket noodles. They put tomato in the soup which makes it really tasty. The other dish i like is the chinese french fries.
The dumplings and and the pancakes are good too. They also have some hearty lamb dishes if you are into that kind of thing.
The Silom branch does look a bit ghetto for those not used to C Restaurants. Don't let the looks fool you, the food is quite aliright.
