A very convenient location to get to Central World, or even BTS station, but it's only convenient to get bts, not taxi, we were trying to get a taxi to transfer us to another hotel in a rainy day, and we were rejected by almost 20 taxis i think, because the road beside CentralWorld is jam like hell, especially in rainy day, we waited about 30 mins to get a taxi...
Room is very spacious, lobby is very grand, overall hotel is very clean, but it's not very easy to find the way from shopping area to the hotel, for first-timer like me...
Breakfast is not even "moderate", it's just slightly above 'awful', food is not nice, waiters are not attentive enough, limited selection of food, and there were only a few guests having breakfast, probably that's the reason?!?!

Room Tip: WorldClub Executive Room

As a travel agent I love this property and it is my second stay here… great location (walking distance) to MBK for all your shopping needs.

I had a World Club room this time that comes with all the club benefits, on arrival I was taken the Executive lounge on the 21st floor and checked in, had to wait a little for the room to be ready however I fully enjoyed taking the opportunity to try all the yummy local & Western foods on offer that comes with the room in the club lounge…..drinks are a little pricy however for Thailand.

The room was fantastic on the 42nd floor with sweeping views of Bangkok, as a twin room the beds were queen and the bathroom was bigger than my own lounge I have at home.

Red Sky is a must for any visitor into Bangkok on the top floor (55th) …it’s a great drinking spot, they have daily happy hours and the views are fantastic with some incredible sunsets pending pollution levels … then at night the restaurant opens with scrumptious food, they have a “surf & turf” for around $220.00 (2 people) which has all the fruits of King Crab & Wagyo Beef etc … if fine dining is your fancy then this is the place however, if the humidity is too much then down stairs is the air conditioned restaurant that has a wine cellar to die for…..when you order a bottle a fairy comes down from the roof and selects your wine in gigging! Awesome!

This property prices very well through most wholesalers even in the best of rooms, generally stay 3 pay 2!

My wife and I stayed here for three nights at the begining of March. For some reason (that we did not question) we where upgraded, free of charge to an executive suite. Everything about the room was immaculate, even the view from the 48th floor was breathtaking.
The breakfast was buffet style and to a very high standard with enough variety to cater for every culture.
The evening meal was very expensive, which is to be expected in a hotel of this calibre, the food, to be honest was not great, which was a bit of a suprise.
The location is perfect if shopping is part of your stay, as the hotel sits on top of the largest mall in Bangkok.

Superb hotel, great location.

Room Tip: Be cheeky and ask if you can have a free upgrade, you never know !!

A very good hotel. We travelled here in November 2009. We arrived early in the morning, our room was not ready (understandably) but this was not a problem as there was much to see and do. When we got into our room it was immense with a huge curved window which looked out over the city. The staff were attentive, the pool area was huge, but the drinks overpriced. Fitness room was excellent. The bed was huge and very comfortable and the other furniture in the room likewise. Breakfast was very good with a vast selection of food. The mall attached was very convenient with some excellent food stalls.

Fab location slap bang in the middle of BKK at just £80 inc breakfast this Thai hotel is about 50% less than the international 5* brands. Its not quite at their level - some nights you get a chocolate on the pillow sometimes not. fittings are very good but generally just below the major brands and look like they could do with some maintenance in the next 12 months. But at this price and location its an outstanding option.

What sets it apart is that the hotel is part of a shopping center/convention center - accommodation doesn't even start until about L32 way way way above the hub bub of bangkok and a great view from every room

Highlights: the pool deck on L26 is great - you can relax and enjoy the sun without the noise and fumes from cars. the gym is very very well equipped with great staff

Don't miss happy hour 5-7 at the roof top 360 red sky bar on level 55.

Room Tip: all rooms have great views - because of the shape of the hotel some bathrooms have slightly smaller...
