Bei Otto built up a huge following and reputation over the years, but it is now largely eroded. The restaurant is generally disappointing now. The prices are high and the food is mediocre. Sausages and pork knuckle are reasonable by Bangkok standards, but you would expect much more from a restaurant specializing in German food. Service is only so-so and the ambience is nothing special. The place seems to be living on its past reputation, but for most people these days, it seems one visit is more than enough. I know I won't be back; there are plenty of other places with better food, better prices, and better service. Sorry Otto!

I have been here three times in the last two months. A few people have posted that it has become a bit pricey. Well, I cant comment on that as I have only dined here in recent months. For the very obvious good quality I would say it is reasonably priced.

I find the food to be very nice (pork knuckle, potato soup in bread roll, Nuremberg sausages).

Two people with a drink or two expect to pay 1500 to 1800 baht for three courses.

Would definitely rates this one of my favorite farang (foreign) restaurants in Bangkok.

The restaurant has been in operation for years and frankly it needs a bit of renovation and freshening-up. Nevertheless the staff never fails to be pleasant and ever-smiling and you will never go away hungry. The food may be a bit bland, but it is well-cooked, nicely presented, unpretentious and reasonably priced (and the serves are quitesubstantial).

Overall, still a good place to stave off your hunger fangs without emptying-out your wallet.

Many tourists go to "foreign" restaurants in Bangkok and not "Asian" restaurants. Maybe most of the customers are local foreigners! Anyway the food here is ok to good. Very bland. The service as always in Thailand is great. The atmosphere is tropical German. The prices are fine. All in all, a good experience and I would recommend.
