We have eaten at Zanotti on many occasions and it never fails to please. It might be a odd thing to do when in Thailand- eat Italian when there is so much amazing Thai food to eat but we love all types of good food.
This was not molecular cooking, not fancy over worked food, it was just simply cooked but it was made with fantastic ingredients, prepared with skill and it tasted great. We shared a caprese salad and a plate of salami, prosciutto et al to start. The burrata was melt in the mouth stuff and the pork products were delicious. Simple but it was good. Pasta was our next course. It was not complicated but well executed. My clams and spaghetti with parsley and tomato was great and my partner had fusilli and crab was deemed to be great.
The wine list is mainly Italian and includes several IGT bottles which we always look out for on Italian wine lists.
We finished with a great plate of Italian cheese.
It is a bright and cheery restaurant and the tables are always packed, so reservations are essential.
The meal was reasonably priced too.
