“Laughing at our faces when we made a complaint”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2013

First to start with our reservation. Made a reservation 2 days before myself, but on arrival they had no reservation from us.
Had to wait an hour and a half before we got the table.
We got our table and ordered our food. Asked for extra fries with the main dish, got them with our appetisers.... Told the waiter we wanted the fries with the main dish and he took 1 of 2 plates away, had to tell him twice we wanted the fries with the main course. The main course came in stages. Finished my dinner before my girlfriend got her food. The pork chop is awful.
To make matters worse... We know it can rain in Bangkok, but when it started dripping on the table the waiters just stood there and did nothing.
The thing that irritated the most was when we made our complains the ?manager? Laughed in our faces. After getting a 15% discount, not even service and vat covered, we had to wait 10 minutes for our change.
It looks nice and the only thing good is the view. Directly at the river at the other side of Wat Arun. For all the other things, avoid this restaurant

“Good view, surly staff, disappointing food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2013

We decided to eat at the Deck after having a drink in the Amorosa bar one 4th floor. The staff were not at all friendly, and we had to help ourselves to menus as they chatted amongst themselves. The view of Wat Arun is excellent, even though we were sat at the back of the restaurant (as all of the other empty tables were apparently reserved). The food was ok, but expensive for such small portions; my wife's pad Thai was good, but my river prawns with saffron rice, was very disappointing, with just two small prawns and a small mound of fairly bland rice costing 420 thb. I would recommend going to the Amorosa bar at sunset to enjoy the view, but give the Deck a miss.

“Best view, nice environment, great food, cheap price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013 via mobile

The 2nd floor serves meals, both Thai and western styles, quite good and cheap!
What is the best is its 4th floor bar 2ith cheap but nice drink. You can see nice sunset and shining temple sparkling at night

We found this on tripadvisor. Upper deck Restaurant does not open until 5:00pm so downstairs which is a bit jaded but aircon ok. Ordered deep fried beef with fried rice and green curry (dry) really really tasty great flavours. Also had the king prawn with rice vermiceli chilies etc huge fresh peawn good spice and flavours. Beers and food come to about 600 bht (£13 ish). All good!
