Description: Naj Exquisite Thai Cuisine is a restaurant and Thai cooking school located in a century old historical house on Bangkok's Convent Rd. At Naj you can experience Thai cuisine as it was prepared in times past, as our chefs have painstakingly resurrected historical recipes and the obscure ingredients needed for them. Customers who visit Naj, whether for dinner or to learn how to cook their favorite Thai dishes, will not only be enthralled with it's atmosphere, but also by the real touch of Thai taste and service.

“Quite solid place”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

This old three story wooden house opened as a restaurant some 30 years ago. It has an extensive menu of Thai dishes. The food is competent and well presented. Highly recommended to go to this restaurant early during your Bangkok visit to sample a range of dishes. Then you can try more expensive and less expensive restaurant. Naj gives a good benchmark.

The house is well kept, but the buzz has clearly left this place years ago. I wonder how often all the three floors in the restaurant are busy. On the same plot of land is also a nice small spa where you can get a little massage before dinner.

“Exquisite Indeed”
Reviewed August 3, 2013 via mobile

We located this restaurant via Trip Adviser 200 metres from our hotel. The service was faultless and the food great. It has already been commented in previous reviews that the food is less spicy to cater to the tourist market which is the case but it was outstanding nonetheless. We had green curry chicken, spicy fish, soft shell crab and a prawn soup dish. All were great in particular the soft shell crab. This restaurant is pricey but we expected that. Restaurant is well set out in an old building with a few separate rooms and provides quite an intimate private dining experience.

“Pretty good Thai..”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

It's not the cheapest Thai food you will find in Bangkok..but if you want to go authentic and a go a bit ''special '' then it's worth a stop. Nice enough ambiance. Mixture of both Locals and foreigners. Good currys...seafood was excellent ( soft shell crab ) Some entertainment in the form of traditional Thai dancers that appear every hour. All in all a nice evening

“Very good food”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

Ate here with small group of work colleagues. Food very good - extensive menu to pick from, and food was very tasty and nicely presented. Not expensive. Service was a bit erratic at times, but I think that was because we were seated next to a large group - looked like a group of conference attendees. Ask to sit in the main part of the restaurant, not the veranda like extension.

“superb thai restaurant offering varied thai meals”
Reviewed July 13, 2013 via mobile

living in thailand, one can get a bit fed up with thai food (so many restaurants offer the same combination of foods). here are at Naj the tastebuds certainly had an outing. beautiful thai food, extensive menu (many dishes I had not seen before), beautifully presented and very professional staff. a bit pricey but worth it. tip: aircon blasts so bring a jacket/wrap (or ask staff who very happily supplied me one for the duration). definitely a recommended restaurant destination
