We had been to Bangkok twice recently and on the most recent occasion were only there for one night. We decided that we had to try Vertigo and take advantage of the incredible views from 61 floors up. First thing we noted was the absolute incredible views Vertigo and MoonBar offer of Bangkok. Dinner was fairly good, however the food, and wine in particular, were incredibly expensive. More than you'd expect to pay in Western cities. Expect to fork out 2,200 Baht ($74 USD) just for a steak and up to 6,000 Baht ($200 USD) for a bottle of pretty standard wine.

The service was ok, friendly staff, but a few issues with our orders. When we were leaving we were asked to fill out a survey which we did. Obviously our waiter read it quickly as he chased after us to offer a free cocktail at the bar as our survey mentioned we weren't completely satisfied with the service. We gratefully accepted, and two of our party ordered a glass of champagne (usually $47 or 1,400 Baht). Unfortunately the champagne was completely flat. To the bar staff credit they noticed this before we mentioned it and got a new glass.

In summary: amazing views that you will more than pay for, good food however no Thai food on offer and fairly good service.

“Fantastic location but food quite average.”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

I visited this restaurant with friends and let me say that the views are amazing. Fantastic spot for a bar and restaurant. We started at the Moon Bar where we received excellent service and enjoyed the view as the sun went down. We then moved on to dinner where again we received excellent service. Unfortunately the food was disapointing expecially considering the prices. All in all a fabulous experience but I would recommend just having a few drinks at the bar.

“Amazing setting, not amazing drinks.”

Just went for drinks, and while this place is pricey, the view and vibe of a crowded bar a million feet in the air is pretty rad. Just an awesome place to spend an evening, and less pretentious than Sky Bar!

“Superb Fine Dining”

A breathtaking experience to be in this restaurant. A top of city experience with great lighting and absolute fantastic food and drinks. Dress is smart casual and the place needs a prior booking. Though the place is a bit steep try it the Snow Fish, its a great dish.

“Amazing place”
Reviewed June 3, 2013 via mobile

We went to this place with my girlfriend. That's abosulutely amazing place, because of amazing view. Bar is located on 61st floor, booking for bar is not required.
Drinks could be better :) but you will forget it, once you will see the view.
