“Tingle in the Toes.”
Reviewed March 13, 2013

The Vertigo is aptly named for the tingle you get from your toes up as you look out to the sprawling metropolis of Bangkok from this great vantage point. Located on the 61st floor the lift goes as far as 59, so you need to climb 2, floors to get to your final destination... I'm unsure if they have a service lift for any wheelchair or special needs guests.

We ordered a bottle of Champagne, to start the evening and we never looked back. Different steaks available internationally and priced on average between 1500-5000 Baht depending on cut and country of origin. The staff were all impeccable in their service approach and kindly took our pic with their own in-house camera for such occasions as anniversaries or birthdays...

The Tingle in the Toes was well worth it...

“Definately worth it”
Reviewed March 12, 2013 via mobile

We chose to go there rather than the way overpriced, cocky Sky Bar. Prices are high but tolerable (300-400 bht for a drink). Service is excelent! They even loaned me shoes so i could respect the dress code (i was wearing long jeans and sandals). And the view? breathtaking. Come at 6pm. Btw, next time well go up the bar of Baiyoke building, which 84 floors are well seen from the bar on citys landscape.

“Best rooftop bar in Bangkok”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

Yes you pay more to drink here than pretty much everywhere else, but for the views and the ambience, and especially compared to the holes in London that charge twice as much for drinks, it was brilliant. Service was very good, drinks were generous and they do pretty much anything, free snacks too. Just make sure ladies wear shoes and no sandals!

“Intimate taste of the high life”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

I don’t know much about Bangkok (Vertigo is the only sky bar I’ve been to) but I can say this is a breathtaking place to sip a well-mixed cocktail. I was more than happy to pay a small premium for the drinks as there were some nicely blended flavours- and being so high up feels like a privilege. The fact the bar was smaller than expected was a definite point in its favour. I don’t think a mega-rooftop bar would be as intimate or feel as special. There’s a dress code and the feel is extremely classy without being in any way pretentious. We soon got chatting with some other tourists. Personally I wouldn't bother with a meal here; I suspect you'd get something mediocre and overpriced. From what little we saw, the hotel is stunning – worth a look- but if it’s well outside your budget, Vertigo will give you a taste of the high life.
