We enjoyed this hotel very much. Perfect room, friendly and helpful staff and a cute swimming pool on the roof. Conveniently located in the vicinity of a lot of nice restaurants.

This hotel is a good ten minutes walk from the main drag and the bts stop at nana plaza and while a tuk tuk is provided from the hotel if your stumbling back then you're on your own or having fun in a cab. Ideal locale for the supper club, 7-11 nearby and the overall theme of the hotel is modern Asian and funky. The staff were good with the usual welcome of cold drinks and the ever present smell of fresh flowers in reception. Our room on the fifth floor had ants, bit of an achievement that one, but was clean. The tv was big, reception mixed and pool was small, a bit hemmed in but nice after a hot day. The gym was small but functional. If you eat breakfast here you must be mad, only the very best get this right in Thailand and why should they with so much good Thai food on your doorstop. If you're gagging to be fed bacon and eggs subway or maccas can sort you out but never have breakfast in the hotel, any hotel in bangers. The only Massive negative is the airport limo. Do not order this via the hotel. You get this crazy mental cabbie who has a tiny Camry with partially working seatbelts who increases the cost of the journey the second you get in. I know never to get a taxi from a hotel but the wife was very sick so my option were limited some asked for a limo. My mistake. I did contact th hotel afterwards but to no avail. The driver went over 160 km on the freeway. In heavy traffic. This is why I never get a cab normally to or from the airport. So between the ants, the rip of maniac driver and the location I would pass on this place unless you want to live in the supper club which to be honest was nice but nothing to go mental over.

Room Tip: Ask for the room without the ants away from the drunk middle aged guy who picked up at nana plaza

Citichic is conveniently located near the Skytrain, restaurants, nightlife, street food vendors, etc...

The rooms are very clean, modern, well decorated, and comfortable.

The restaurant/cafe staff is very friendly. The front desk staff was also friendly... until we checked out.

If you're not up for walking to the skytrain, Citichic will give you a free ride in their tuk-tuk.

I'd like to give Citichic 4 stars, but they fell short in a few important areas:

Some of the interior of the hotel (not the rooms) needs maintenance and cleaning.

The hotel cafe got our breakfast order right only about 40% of the time.
This cafe/restaurant is the only place we stayed anywhere in Thailand that did not have bananas or watermelon for breakfast.

The pool water was a bit gross and cloudy/greenish. The pool definitely needs better maintenance.

The normally friendly front desk staff was unacceptably rude at check-out. When we realized that packing our bags was going to take longer than we expected (after staying in the hotel for 5 days), we called to ask for a little extra time to check out. They said yes, but then proceeded to call us every 5-10 minutes in an increasingly and, unnecessarily, hostile and aggressive tone, telling us we needed to leave. This definitely was not a communication breakdown, communication was very clear. It was simply someone at the front desk being pissy and rude. When we checked out, she was extremely short and unfriendly with us. Considering that the hotel was at about 30-40% capacity, this behavior was even more inappropriate.

Overall, the hotel was a decent value, in a great, sometimes over-priced, very centrally located area.

Given the convenience of the location and cleanliness and comfort of the room, we would consider returning. But not without some reservation and not without considering other options in the area.

Great large, tidy, modern and functional room.
Lovely and very helpful staff.
Tuc-tuc service available to Nana staion, otherwise it's only 10 minute walk.
Breakfast was good too. I'll definitely stay again if back in Bangkok.

A nice modern hotel located at the bottom end of Soi 13. The hotel is located at the junction where Soi 11 and 13 connect and is within walking distance of a huge number of restaurants. Despite the very busy location the rooms are quiet. The bathrooms are modern and include a large bathtub. Breakfast is not included in the price but even without breakfast the rates are very reasonable. Wifi was included.

The only downside was the beds were very squeaky. We had two rooms and the beds were equally noisy in both rooms - enough to disrupt sleep. Free tuk tuk to Nana station is a bonus but doesn't start running until 10am.

Room Tip: Chose a room away from the road if light or noise are likely to be an issue for you

Great little hotel. I had friends staying in my Bangkok apartment, and so had to check into a hotel for a few days. Staff were great, rooms were modern and very clean.
Central location.
No 5 Star Grandeur, but at the price they charge its excellent value money.

One of my Bangkok favourites. I've stayed here 5-6 times since they opened. I feel it's appropriate to do a second review as the property seriously seems to lack maintenance.

The last time i stayed here the pool was so filthy that I jumped right out of it once I noticed the greenish algae carpet that covered about 1/3 of the bottom, the water also had an unpleasant smell to it. Pool area is in desperate need of some TLC, only one of the 20+ lamps in the pool and pool wall was working. All lamps in the "well" facing the gym had broken fixings and floated around like dead fish. The fake grass on the sundeck has more black mold spots than green "grass" to it, and the paint on the walls is sunworn and starting to flake. Most of the varnish on the sunbeds and furniture has come off in ugly flakes, and the wood is now twisted and deteriorating. A couple of broken sunbeds is unsightly stacked away on the roof in clear view amongst other (broken?) rubble.

Aircon in the hallways as well as the lights in the stairwell "chandelier" is now switched off, probably to save on electricity bills.

Napkins in the cafe and the pool towels is in a sorry state, some of it patched up. Several wood panels in lobby and hallways are damaged by moisture, and a moldy odour would occasionally greet you when going to and from your room.

In-room and cafe menus has been redesigned, for some reason they have decided to drop the cool fonts and design that went so well with the hotel and instead go for a theme that doesn't match.

Service is still very friendly, efficient and professional, rooms are spotless, the free wi-fi is fast and stable and the food is great. I love the atmosphere at this hotel, but a filthy pool takes away one of the hotel's big pros, I'll most likely look for another place to stay during my next visit to Bangkok.

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms facing the front as they are quite cramped and noisy compared to the rest
