My wife and I did the free Chinatown walking tour with Good and Faiy. We had been to Bangkok's Chinatown a couple years ago and ate at one of the busy restaurants on the street. However, this tour allowed us to try places we never would have tried ourselves as one place was your textbook definition for hole in the wall restaurant.

We arrived a bit early at the meeting point and both Good and Faiy were sitting outside on the steps waiting. There were supposed to be two other people but they never showed after waiting about 20 minutes. At this point it became pretty much a private tour for us. However as Good and Fine were similar in age to us, it felt more like a couple of friends showing us around their city. Before we got to the food, we did a quick walking tour of some of the sights around Chinatown. Over the course of the evening, we were able to chat about the cultural differences between our countries, something which I really enjoy doing when I travel. At the same time they kept us full with food, food and more food. This includes fish maw soup (which is slightly different than the one we are used to back home), rice noodles pork soup with deep fried dough (hole in the wall joint), rice cakes with some vegetable topping, pad thai, fried mussel, and a couple stops for dessert including water chestnuts in coconut milk, and toast with condensed milk and Thai tea.

Bangkok's Chinatown is what every Chinatown should strive to be. Bright lights, bustling in all directions, and dirty. This tour is a great way to explore it and will help you with what to eat when you come back. As this is a free tour, I would also recommend tipping the guides if you enjoy it.

My wife and me were in Chinatown two times before and we were not sure what the guide can show us specially before we meet us. Now we are happy to book this tour. OK. Temple was closed at 7 pm but Good (the guide) talk about the temple, Chinatown and Thai history. After three stops of this kind we entered Yaowarat Rd. the mainstreet of Chinatown Bangkok. Then we stopped 4 times for streetfood and 1 time for a special drink of tea. 3 of the dishes we didn' t know it was specially style of China and Thai I think but it smells very good. After about 2 and a half hour we finished and were happy to do this tour. very good Mr. GOOD

My friend and I really enjoyed this street food walking tour of China town in Bangkok!
We were able to try about 6 different dishes which we otherwise would not have had. It was great to be shown around by locals.
Highly recommend!!!

Awesome free tour. We went to Chinatown with our guide, "Good", during Chinese New Year. It was absolutely packed with people. Never seen anything like it. Our guide kept procuring new and fun dishes for us to try and really went out of his way to ensure we had a great time. Thanks for everything, Good!

Great tour and experience if you are interested in different views and impressions....and local food :-)
reliable tour-guides and easy to find meeting points build the start of an outstanding and very much different sightseeing tour of Bangkok by night.
Always wanted to try street-food but did not dare due to missing knowledge and languange problems???
this is the tour you need....i would have missed lovely and tastefull dishes cooked on basic street-kittchens on wheels :-)
If you are into food and Thai-Dishes....this is the tour to do !!!
Thanks again for a great evening in Bangkok.
