My partner and I had three nights in this hotel and it was excellent. I was bit worried after reading some of the reviews on this site, but I found all of those that were negative to be untrue.

On arrival- after a very long flight from Glasgow- we were delighted to see how plush it was. There is a doorman on duty 24 hours (it feels very safe and secure), and your bags are delivered up to your room. Check-in staff are friendly.

Service was of a very high standard. The staff were happy to advise on excursions and how to pronounce Thai words.

We had a superior room, which was gorgeous. Lovely big bed with excellent linen and a Thai silk throw. The dressing gowns and slippers were never off! Cleaning was thorough and thoughtful- our toiletries were laid out for us (I'd left them in a bit of mess round the sink). There is a window into the bathroom- which seems to be the thing in Thailand as our other hotel had the same- but there is a blind to spare blushes.

There is a pool and gym. We didn't use the gym, but the pool was spotless.

Wide variety of things at breakfast, which was run with freindly efficiency. Food and drinks were not expensive by UK hotel standards, but a bit pricey for Thai standards. However the bar/ restaurant was very pleasant and everything was served to a high standard. There are loads of wee stalls on the main street selling all manner of snacks.

The hotel is beside a Skytrain station (about £1 for most journies, the booth will give you change but tickets are from the automated machines) and 5 minutes walk from Central Plaza and 15 minutes from MBK (home of knock off designer goods!) and Siam Central. Siam Paragon (for real designer goods) is about 10 minutes. Paragon has an excellent food hall- but it is bigger than you think, so keep hunting about. Night market for sounvenirs 15 minute cab ride.

The hotel will call you taxis which are really cheap, about £2 for 20 minute jouney. Most drivers don't carry change so you'll need small notes or coins.

In short: fantastic and very comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff, great location.

Only tiny niggle is they charge for internet access- £4 for 30 minutes. No big deal though.

My family stayed here for just one night and it was a relaxing and satisfying stay, the staff were very good and saw to anything we needed, the Momo cafe in the lobby is a great place to have a meal, its not a stuffy restaurant, but a classy modern cafe , the waiting staff were very polite helpful with very good english (my Thai is non exsistant) the food was excellent and the prices are very reasonable for a hotel and they offers on each day for lunches and happy hour for some cocktails in the evening 6-8

the room was clean modern and comfortable with 32" flat screen TV and nice walking wet room ( no bath) , the hotel is in a good secure area and taxis are outside, the Skytrain is just down the raod and the hotel supply a Tuk Tuk transport to take you to the station if needed for free.

Had two stays here in between a trip to the river kwai and found it to be very handy for Bangkok shopping and sightseeing. There is a free shuttle to the skytrain which will take you to the river boat terminal or to chukuluk market.
Really good modern rooms, nice pool and gym, friendly staff

Rooms were pretty spacious with modern decor (see pic). It is a new hotel so everything was still in working order. Nice facilities; pool had a spartan look, though one side was still work-in-progress, jacuzzi was a nice touch... water was warm, wasn't sure if it was heated or because the weather was so hot though... ;p think the jacuzzi was prob heated but not the pool... fitness centre looked good, with lots of equipment... business centre was chargeable, not a complimentary service...

location wise it was about 15 mins walk to the main shopping stretch... a bit depressing as well on the walk out as you pass by the four seasons and grand hyatt which look tons better, and in future the st regis when it's built just next to the bts station... ;p

staff were a delight... friendly and helpful... whether at the pool, at concierge or upon entering the hotel...

one thing though, MUST bring the thai name of hotel when you go out (can take from front desk)... somehow taxi driver sent us to "conrad all seasons" when we said "courtyard behind four seasons"... taxi driver had even said, "which courtyard? got three..." i guess he factored in conrad and others as well!! haha...

great place for short & longer stay. We stayed only 1 night on our way to New Zealand and must say we're were very happy we've chosen that hotel. Its tough to decide in this crazy city with massive hotel list.
Room was clean, service was great, people were very kean, we got some proposals for very good seafood restaurants (which are not in the "Bangkok Whats on"

Just spent four nights at the Courtyard Marriott hotel.
We got a good rate without breakfast. Asked for a room with one King sized bed and a room with two double beds for my family of four.
They did not have connecting deluxe rooms types but they did give us two rooms next to each other.
We had rooms overlooking the swimming pool and my room which I shared with my husband had one King Sized bed with a work desk, an armchair and lots of storage space in the closet and drawers.
Good sized bathroom with a full length mirror, vanity, sink, toilet and shower only, no bathtub.
I believe they have bathtubs in their premiere rooms.
Like other reviewers have mentioned, beds were a bit firm but not uncomfortable.
I like the glass panel with the round mirror between the sleeping area and the bathroom.
It makes the room brighter and bigger.
You can also do your make up in the bedroom while your room mate is using the toilet.
There are bathrobes, an umbrella, bedroom slippers, a safe and even an iron and ironing board in the closet.
You don't even need to ring down to housekeeping to borrow the iron or pack an umbrella with you.
Two bottles of complimentary drinking water provided every day and free instant coffee, regular and decaf and tea, English breakfast and Earl Gray provided with a electrical jug for boiling water.
The rooms are accessible by security key cards, two cards for each room and ours were issued in two different colours, red for my room and blue for my daughters', thoughtful details but makes it easier to differentiate which key for which room.
My daughters had the corner room. Room was a little larger in size with two windows stretching around the L shape corner of the room.
No see through glass between the bathroom and the sleeping area but the toilet was next to a long glass panel which means you can look out and people in the building opposite can also look in. Of course there are blinds which can be closed for privacy.
Shower in their room was a little larger with a little marble ledge where you can sit down.
We tried their buffet breakfast one morning and that cost 530baht nett per person. A bit expensive for family of 4.
We also used the pool one evening. Standard small sized pool, good enough to work out after a day's shopping. Pool opens from 6am to 11pm but lifeguard goes off duty at 8pm so you swim at your own risk after 8pm.
There is a gym in the hotel as well.
Good hotel with very good service. Tut Tut service provided every 15mins to Rajdamri BTS or you can walk there in 5mins.
Walking distance to Central World about 7mins.
Take a card from the hotel with the address printed in Thai to show the taxi drivers.
One thing we discovered during this trip is that most of the taxis runs on LPG and half the boot space is taken up by a big gas tank so you may have problems if you have big hardcases like us.
We took a regular cab, a Toyota Altis from the airport taxi stand to the hotel and had problems with fitting our suitcases in the boot.
We had to put one suitcase in the boot and the smaller one in the passenger cabin and my two daughters and I had to squeeze into the back with the suitcase in between.
On the way back to the Airport, we booked a bigger cab (station wagon) for 700baht nett to take us to the Airport when we checked out.
No more having to squeeze in the back sit with the suitcase plus 2 more soft bags.
Good hotel, would recommend!
